We would like to thank Jessica and Amber for their compassion and time. We were there when the office was basically closed on Good Friday. Those two women were unbelievably kind, patient and oh so helpful. They helped not only with the medical situation at hand but were comforting and helped with my stress level. I am forever grateful for their kindness.

My husband, Carl, is a kidney transplant patient who sees Dr. McDowall regularly for post-transplant care. As an AD-PKD patient for decades, Carl had seen nephrologists in St. Augustine, but neither had any real interest or commitment to his disease or him. I sent Carl to UF Shands, Gainesville, for PKD care. After seven years they put him on the transplant list and miraculously, three years later, he had a match. When Dr. McDowall first moved to St. Augustine, I sent Carl to him. We wanted a local nephrologist to be familiar with Carl;'s case and at that time dialyysis was likely. From that first visit, Dr. McDowall was a doctor like no other. The transplant followed quickly, without dialysis. We broke from Dr. McDowall during the transplant and immediate post-transplant periods only due to the desires of UF. They required complete control of Carl's care for the next three years. Now, Carl is once again under Dr. McDowall's care. I could not be more grateful for this superb physician. He is highly skilled, compassionate, listens and responds, and is everything a doctor should be. No hyperbole here! It has been a very long time since I have trusted a doctor in St. Augustine as much as I trust Dr. McDowall. His solutions to Carl's concerns are buttressed by his incredible depth of knowledge and sensitivity to individual patients. It does not get better than Dr. McDowall. Thank you for all you have done for my darling husband. He now enjoys a quality of life heretofore unparalleled. We are blessed.

I am very happy with Dr McDowell and his staff. They are very knowledgeable and keep me updated on everything. He has consistently shown a caring and knowledgeable attitude.
