Sanitas Medical Center

I have been very happy with the care I have received from Sanitas. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen. Dr. Jean is very attentive and doesnt rush me and always listens to all I have to say. Marla in particular is awesome. I have been a somewhat needy patient yet she always has time to listen to my concerns and help wherever she can. I would highly recommend Sanitas.

Once you're in the office it's a decent enough experience but FYI TO ANYONE BECOMING A NEW PATIENT HERE - they outsource their phone calls. You'll be dialing a 904 # only to reach someone who knows where - who you will struggle to understand if you're an english speaker. You can't get in touch with the actual office for anything. Questions about rx's, appointment making. It's ridiculous. Like how can that possibly be a good move for your business? A doctor's office no less? Just calling about a simple prescription and ending the phone call with no confidence or assuredness you're going to get your issue solved bc you couldn't understand what they were saying. So many retail stores & businesses of all other kinds do that now I don't want it done at my dr's.

I had an incredibly frustrating and humiliating experience with Dr. Michelle Joseph during my first visit to Sanitas. My appointment was scheduled for 4:10 PM, but I was left sitting there waiting until at least 4:45 PM before being seen. My only goal was to have a standard, routine new patient visit to establish care. Instead, I was treated with suspicion and complete disrespect.I have a 15-year documented history of safely taking a daily maintenance medication, managed smoothly by UF Health and other doctors without a single issue. Dr. Joseph completely ignored this history and repeatedly told me over and over again that she would not refill the medication ever again, talking to me as if I were just trying to get "extra" pills. It was incredibly insulting.On top of that, she brushed aside my actual concerns to push referrals for unrelated things. When I explicitly asked for necessary referrals to dermatology and an ENT, she failed to give them to me. I had to ask multiple times just to get her to address the daily medication I take to function. When she finally did, she disrupted my care plan by restricting me to a brief 30-day "bridge" supply and demanding an unnecessary psychiatrist referral. She runs late, lacks basic empathy, and treats patients terribly. I have already switched my primary care provider away from Sanitas back to UF Health. Do not go to this doctor.

The absolute worst place for medical care. There are no accute appointments, they refer you to urgent care. You never speak to the office, you are forwarded to a relay service that is apparently not in this country and English is not the primary language. You can not get anyone to call you back, everything requires an appointment. Even an active referral provider change. Was in office and received a referral, called back to have the provider changed because my insurance don’t cover the original provider and they keep telling me to set an appointment. I do a text appointment and she tells me I need a video appointment. TO CHANGE A NAME ON A REFERRAL THEY GAVE ME!?? I have been in nursing for over 25 years and have never seen anyone operate in the manner they do. It’s all about billing!
