Words truly can’t say enough about Dr. Gaskins and his staff. He has been our family dentist for several years and has always been wonderful, but today he went above and beyond for my daughter. She had all four of her wisdom teeth removed on Friday, March 6th by an oral surgeon at a different office. For the most part she had been healing well, but one particular incision site kept getting worse. I took her back to the surgeon for a follow-up on Wednesday, March 11th, and after looking in her mouth for about a minute, we were told everything was fine and that it was just part of the healing process. Meanwhile, the pain medication was barely touching her pain. Knowing the surgeon would be out of the office the following week, and that Dr. Gaskins does not work on Fridays, I called and explained the situation to Angel at the front desk. Despite a full schedule, she was able to work us in on short notice. When we arrived, Dr. Gaskins took his time, carefully listened to all of our concerns, and gave my daughter a very thorough exam. He removed debris from the incision site and told us that if we had not come in today, she was likely only a day or two away from developing a dry socket. He flushed the area and packed it with medication to help sedate the bone and relieve the pain. Dr. Gaskins absolutely did not have to see her today, but because of his kindness and genuine concern for his patients, he likely saved her from a very long and miserable weekend. In a world where quality care and compassion can sometimes feel rushed, Dr. Gaskins and his team are the perfect example of what healthcare should look like. We are incredibly grateful and proud to call him our family dentist.
My husband and I have been patients of this practice forever. Dr Gaskins gives the best shots to stop pain. Only work that needs to be done is asked to be fixed. Dr G and staff go out of their way to be helpful and supportive. Check them out.
Honest, Highly Skilled, and Experienced I live in Ponte Vedra Beach, and I was so frustrated with both the lack of affordability and the lack of truly skilled dentists in my area that I reached out to a friend who is a dental hygienist and asked for a recommendation. She doesn’t work for Dr. Gaskins, but told me he is great and that other hygienists recommend him as well. That says a lot. He is one of the few dentists out there who is both highly skilled and won’t do anything you don’t actually need. On top of that, he’s genuinely nice. His office building isn’t new, but it is very clean, organized, and smells nice. His staff is just as kind and treats you with respect. I have been struggling with pain on my left side for 15 years. For all that time, I was told I had no cracks, cavities, or visible issues—and to just live with it. I went to Dr. Gaskins for a checkup, explained my pain and how it had gotten worse, and he is the only dentist who understood what was happening. He said it looked like (in my words) my bite was off and that I was hitting my left side first. He took the time to explain the wear and how it affects the nerves, and he recommended I see an orthodontist. I went to my daughter’s orthodontist, Dr. Holland with Ortega Ortho (highly recommend), and sure enough, through both a hands-on exam and the use of technology, he showed me how my bite was hitting left and then sliding right. I am finally getting relief, thanks to Dr. Gaskins.
I was looking for a new dentist and found this one , after having a not so joyful experience with Greenberg dental . Dr Gaskins an his staff are great ! , helped me with all my needs and concerns with my teeth . Very knowledgeable and helpful! Happy to call this my new dental home !
I have been going to Dr. Gaskins for over 25 years. He is very honest and approaches my care with a conservative attitude. He will not recommend anything that is not necessary. I will continue to see him and his staff for my family's dental care. Very friendly also.
