Roots Academy

I sent my kids to summer camp at Roots and they had a great time. Roots offers early drop off hours for working parents, which was very helpful. They also had lots of activities for the kids each day and weekly field trips for kids aged 5+. I will definitely be using them again!

Our experience at this school unfortunately became progressively worse over time. From early on, there were concerning red flags that we tried to address directly with the owner. As parents, we communicated multiple times that our son was becoming increasingly fearful about going to school. Instead of taking these concerns seriously, our worries were repeatedly dismissed and met with defensiveness. The final and most serious incident occurred when our son came home and told us that his teacher had pulled his hair. When we brought this to the owner’s attention, we expected a thorough review, including checking the classroom cameras. Instead, we were told that she didn’t feel the need to look at the footage because she “couldn’t see the teacher doing something like that,” and that young children often have big imaginations and make things up. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable leaving our child in an environment where our concerns were dismissed rather than investigated. We immediately withdrew our son from the school. I encourage other parents to pay attention to early red flags and trust their instincts when something doesn’t feel right. Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard at school. I would give it zero stars if i could .

From the director to the teachers and staff, we have been so fortunate and blessed to have our daughter attend Roots Academy! They are true caregivers who wholeheartedly love their profession.

We had a great experience with Roots Academy preschool! Ms. Wendy and teachers were nurturing and attentive, creating a warm and safe environment for the children. The curriculum integrated faith-based values, which I appreciated, and my child thoroughly enjoyed the engaging activities. We are grateful for the positive impact it had on his development. Highly recommended!
