The Ronald McDonald House is truly a blessing for families in the hardest times of their lives. For children being treated at Wolfsons or Nemours it’s especially amazing because it’s located right across the street. There’s no charge for the family to stay, the rooms are better than most hotels, there is a small living area with a pull out couch, and a tv. A half kitchen with a sink, microwave and plenty of cabinet space, and a large bedroom with two beds, another tv, a dresser, a desk, plus free wifi and cable. Downstairs there’s a large, full kitchen where families can cook and they even provide food. Every night dinner is served for free, there’s a play area next to the dining room and and outdoor playground that even has a basketball hoop. There’s activities for the older siblings in the Kid Zone, and if the families need anything from diapers to soap and shampoo, it’s provided. The workers and volunteers are all so kind and friendly. They go above and beyond to help make it easier for the families to take care of their children who need care at the children’s hospitals. There are so many more things this place gives it’s too much to list. From bus passes to tickets to the Zoo, I encourage everyone to donate to the Ronald McDonald charity to help this amazing place.
During one of the most terrible times in our lives, this place helped us stay sane, and comfortable. We felt seen and understood. Ronald McDonald house gives you a place to feel normal when your whole life is falling apart in front of you. Our son is at Brooks Rehabilitation for a traumatic brain injury, they've made this home away from home. Food is provided, you can bring your own and store it, the rooms are immaculate with large tvs. The staff is SO accommodating and helpful. The rooftop terrace has beautiful views and feels so serene. A wi perfume place to breath and remember we are still human while caring for our loved ones. Seriously, 5 stars isn't enough. ❤️
What a wonderful place. The people that work there are so friendly and kind. They really helped us so much in our time of need for our daughter that had treatments at the Wolfson Hospital. It would of hurt us so much financially, but they were able to help us out tremendously. Definitely a organization I don't mind donating to with all the great work they do.

From the warm welcome at the door to the comfort of the rooms, every detail reflects their mission to keep families close when it matters most. The staff and volunteers go above and beyond—offering meals, a peaceful environment, and emotional support that makes families feel like they are not alone. I will forever be grateful for the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville. During one of the hardest times in our lives, this incredible place became a home away from home. It gave us a safe, comforting space to rest, recharge, and stay close to Lilly while she was in the hospital. The staff, the volunteers, the warm meals, the quiet rooms, the little acts of kindness—every bit of it made such a difference. When your child is going through something unimaginable, having a place like this means everything. Thank you, Ronald McDonald House, for being a light in our darkest days. You’ll always have a special place in our hearts.
