Adopted a wonderful kitten.there very helpful.and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
they put kittens with ringworm up for adoption. Horrible. Petsmart should be ashamed
Wouldn’t recommend adopting through them if you’re looking for a straightforward process. My fiancé and I were very interested in a kitten we saw at the petsmart located in oakleaf. This petsmart was partnered with rollies so they told us we had to contact them regarding any questions we may have and that we could adopt when they came for adoption day, which was fine. My fiancé contacted them through Facebook that night on Friday July 17th, saying we’re very interested in this certain kitten and even stated the name of the kitten and rollies told us to come to petsmart the following week because that’s when they would be doing adoptions for that kitty. Fast forward to today it is adoption day so my fiancé and I go to this petsmart very excited. We arrived at 11:50 am and the Rollies team was supposed to arrive at 12pm however they were behind schedule, so they got there at around 1pm. The whole time we were waiting I guess someone who worked at petsmart was doing “pre-interviews”, she asked a couple questions and which kitty we were interested in and we told her, and she said something along the lines of “there is someone else that wants him too, but they will do interviews for the people that are interested in certain kitties so they can find the right owner.” Alright. So we wait and then they get there, one of the volunteers asks us which one specifically we are interested in and we tell her and she says “That one is already spoken for, the person messaged us 3 weeks ago about him.” So we were effectively led to believe we had a chance of getting this kitten, it wasn’t mentioned through Facebook that someone had spoken for him, it wasn’t mentioned before Rollies got there, only when it was time to start letting people adopt AFTER AN HOUR OF WAITING we were told that we couldn’t adopt this kitty because someone “spoke for him 3 weeks ago”. Why was there an “interview” process mentioned if it didn’t even matter? Overall a pretty bad experience. Not to mention time had to be taken off of work to even get a chance of adopting this kitten, in that aspect our time was wasted as well. Would recommend going to an animal shelter to adopt a kitten and skipping over this terrible process.
