Nice park on the end of the point. Great views and fresh air. Small parking lot but a great place to take a walk and enjoy the huge trees with moss. Fishing dock and kayak launch.
This is a small but beautiful nature park that is very scenic! There are a lot of large, mature Southern Oak trees providing shade. There is a small picnic area with 4 picnic tables. The park is right on Doctors Lake near the St. Johns River. It is great for a quiet walk or a walk with your dog. Also nice area just to take some beautiful nature pictures. There is a parking lot but there are no restroom facilities.
Beautiful park to take pictures. Located on the St. John’s River. I can’t believe I’ve lived here my whole life and never knew about this hidden gem! Nice views and lots of shade trees for a nice picnic. They even have a kayak launch & floating dock you can fish from.
What a lovely surprise to find this park. Picnic tables, gazebo right on the water. Serene, beautiful area.
The park is a nice escape and is very quiet. Lots of work still to be done to make it into a perfect Orange Park attraction. If you stick to the walking trail, the going is easier. There are picnic tables but no restrooms. Limited trash receptacles are available, so it is best to pack your trash out with you. Not a lot for kids to do. Lots of space is available for fishing along the bank of Doctors Lake as well as a few places along the slough. If you want to enjoy the lake, bring a chair and enjoy the breeze and gentle lapping of the water. This is a great place to visit and take the dog for a walk. I visited on a Thursday evening for about an hour or so and only saw two local couples walking their dogs. Update - 6-11-26 Still a beautiful and quiet park with some amazing old pines and live oaks live, and it is a great place to fish, picnic or walk the dog. It is very serene and peaceful.
