  The annual "OYSTERFEST" festival. This was our first time attending this festival—and visiting the park itself—and we arrived anticipating a feast. But, alas! It turned out to be a dismal spectacle of long lines for oysters under the scorching sun. It cost $16 for just six tiny fresh oysters, while the price for grilled oysters remained a mystery. Yes, there were plenty of accompanying tents and food trucks offering drinks and cocktails, but this is supposed to be an oyster festival—so where were the oysters? The live music was a real highlight, though; the entertainers, singers, and musicians were absolutely top-notch. We’d like to thank the organizers for providing the shaded tent and chairs—they were a true lifesaver in the heat. Thanks also to Walgreens for the free giveaways and water. The park itself features a children's area with swings, a small fishing pier, and walking paths. We were particularly pleased with the activities organized for seniors inside the building—the recreational programming for retirees was very well-organized. Finally, our thanks go to the volunteers for all their hard work. As for the festival itself, however—it was a disappointment!
