This park on the river is a beautiful tribute to Jacksonville's rich music history. Set in a garden with native plants along the St. Johns River, the memorials span decades of artists connected to Duval. From Ray Charles to Southern Rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd - the musicians from all different genres are represented along with a kid friendly musical playground. Hidden gem!

Nice little music area for the whole family to enjoy and learn about different instruments, songs, and tools to make sound. Nicely shaded by the beautiful treesand has a nice little lawn area to run around.
Music garden is interactive and unique. Short walk though lots of ways to engage with making music or learning about locals that call Jacksonville home in the music industry. Flowers on the path offer a great backdrop for the river and bridges. Not a lot of seating and parking may be difficult when busy downtown. This garden is located directly behind the Times Union center along the riverfront.
Skip the hotel pool or drive down for free parking on the weekend to enjoy a great view along the river and some interesting history about southern rock music born in Jacksonville. I was here for a Jaguars game and that was fun too. Kudos to the city for these well thought out upgrades. There is even a public restroom and a public workout area on the other side of the CSX building. But I must add one of the best things about Jacksonville is how friendly everyone seems. It's like a little big town... The original roots of Florida. Enjoy!! -TW
Wonderful public space set along the St. Johns River celebrating Jacksonville's rich musical history and providing musical play equipment for all ages. Beautiful views and adjacent to the Performing Arts Center where you can also attend Symphony performances or FSCJ artist series shows. Love this space! On-street parking nearby or garage parking at the Water Street Garage just a short walk away.
