I have used Edward several times in the past few years and have been for the most part very satisfied with the work that was completed. This year, I hired him to complete a job which included significant landscape excavation and installation of a root barrier. This experience was so terrible that I will never use him again in the future. Dates during which services were meant to be rendered were constantly postponed without notifying me and Edward would consistently avoid my calls and ignore my text messages. When he finally did begin the labor, he informed me after about an hour of work that the project was too large and so he would return "with a bunch of guys" in a few days. Instead of bringing a crew, Edward showed up by himself and took 3 hours longer than estimated to complete the task. If he had brought additional help as he stated he would, I have no doubt the project would have been completed within the estimated timeframe. This wouldn't have mattered much to me otherwise, but because he was charging me by the hour, I ended up paying an additional $564 over the estimated $1975 for a project that would have been completed faster and to a higher standard if he had brought the additional manpower as he stated he would. Despite this, I paid in full for everything without argument despite feeling like I had been taken advantage of. I even paid $275 in advance for a core lawn aeration which he stated would be completed 2 weeks later. It is now over 1 month since the project was completed and Edward will not return my calls or answer my text messages as to when the aeration will happen. I have asked for a $275 refund for the core aeration that was never completed and have been completely ignored. Due to shady business practices and extremely poor customer service, I wouldn't even recommend this company to someone that I hated let alone a friend or colleague.

Eddie well surpasses my expectations in a great time of need with my irrigation system. His knowledge and ability to fix the issue is great, but the passion and care for getting it right are what really blew me away!! What would have taken me DAYS (of time and unnecessary cursing) to complete...Eddie finished within an afternoon's work. He fixed the issue while also advising and cutting down my future water usage by re- navigating some water lines. Going forward, Eddie will be my first and only call for any needs related to my lawn. If it is by chance out of his scope, I will still feel comforted knowing that he as my consultant has my best interest at heart!!
I contacted River Oaks Lawn Solutions to determine why I was experiencing water pressure problems. Eddy and his team arrived on time and reviewed all the sprinkler zones. They identified sprinkler heads that needed repair and adjusted water coverage looking for the water pressure issues. After evaluating what could be causing the problem, they were able to identify the problem was a bad valve. I am a demanding consumer and I highly recommend River Oaks Lawn Solutions.
Would not recommend as owner uses bait and switch tactic to take advantage of customers. On thumbtack it clearly states he does not charge for a service call. Eddie (the owner) came out to assess our irrigation system, but didn’t bother to tell us that running the diagnostics would cost $135. He only informed us after we told him we were unsure about spending $800 on the work needed. He could have given us a heads up about the potential cost of running the diagnostics before coming to the house and I’m not sure why he didn’t let us know the cost prior to starting the diagnostics. This is clearly a bait and switch tactic to get money from us. He claimed that our lawn needed a more in depth diagnostic which isn’t free… but in hindsight it’s obvious that none of his service calls are free. I let him know that his post clearly says “free service call” and he still has not changed his listing. We were backed into a corner since we would be out $135 regardless and ended up using him to fix our irrigation. He told us he would come back in 2 weeks to make sure everything was working properly but still hasn’t returned to check on our lawn. Eddie never apologized for misleading us and claimed to give us 5% off our bill since I am a nurse, but he ended up charging us $60 in sales tax to make up for that. I posted our invoice on Reddit to get input from other pros working in irrigation and based on their input he is clearly ripping people off. The job he did should’ve been about $300, he charged us close to $900. Avoid him at all costs.
Asked to have some bushes pruned. Eddie went above and beyond. Great job!
