I’m writing this review as my 84-year-old mother’s medical proxy, based on an experience that was not only disappointing, but incredibly frustrating and, frankly, difficult to understand. Over the course of two months, this office had access to my mother’s prior records and testing, yet still ordered additional tests, scans, and bloodwork, resulting in even more time, expense, and stress. Despite all of this, no meaningful care was provided, and test results were never properly shared or explained. The front desk and support staff appeared inexperienced, were often combative when concerns were raised, and seemed ill-equipped to manage even basic aspects of patient communication and follow-through. I repeatedly tried to speak directly with Dr. Rojas, requested test results, and sought follow-up regarding my mother’s care, but those efforts were repeatedly denied or ignored. As her medical proxy, being blocked from obtaining basic information and communication about her care was extremely concerning. What makes this even more unacceptable is that I specifically confirmed the day before my mother’s final appointment that she would receive her annual osteoporosis injection. I was told unequivocally by staff that she absolutely would. Based on that confirmation, my 84-year-old mother went to the appointment expecting treatment, only to be told by Dr. Rojas that she could not help her after all and was referring her elsewhere. After two months, with all prior records already in hand, multiple additional tests ordered, repeated requests for information, and repeated assurances from staff, the final outcome was simply a referral. Why bring in an 84-year-old woman—after confirming she would receive treatment—just to tell her in person that you are sending her somewhere else? That should have been communicated without putting an elderly patient through yet another unnecessary visit. The entire experience felt disorganized, misleading, and far more focused on generating visits and billing than providing competent, coordinated care. Watching my mother go through this, with no answers, no treatment, and no real follow-through, was incredibly discouraging. Patients deserve transparency, professionalism, and care that respects their time, health, and dignity. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I would strongly encourage others to look elsewhere.

Dr. Otalora is hands down the best rheumatologist I've ever had. From the moment I met her, I could tell she genuinely cared. She took the time to listen to all my concerns, never rushed through my questions, and really made sure I understood everything about my condition and treatment options. What I appreciate most is how knowledgeable she is. Dr. Otalora explained all the possible treatments and was super upfront about potential side effects, which helped me feel confident about the decisions we made together.

Dr Rojas is a very genuine, caring and thorough rheumatologist. She took her time to review my dad’s very complex medical history. She also reached out to one of his specialty doctors to help coordinate his care. The gentleman at the front desk is very helpful, kind and went out of his way to assist us. They both were very patient with me and my millions of questions/concerns that I had regarding my father. Thank you for helping him and opening up this office so my dad could receive the care he desperately needed!!

I had an excellent experience at this rheumatology office. The clinic runs on time, the atmosphere is very welcoming and well organized. The gentleman at the front desk was exceptional and very kind. Dr Otalora was extremely knowledgeable and provided the best care I have received in many years. Highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need for a rheumatologist.
