We paid good, hard-earned money for "base rock" to be delivered today. First, you did not correctly document that our delivery was for today--we had to call and remind you. Then, you delivered fill dirt. Not rock. The driver took payment, dropped the dirt and took off before we even realized less than half of the 4.5 yards was actually rock. Additionally, it seems you mix your "base rock" with trash? It looked like you dug up someone's septic drainfield and then delivered it as "base rock". Wrong product, trashy product, poor service and they get to keep your money? Never again. Not from you.
Had to fill in my yard due to drain off and puddles. I was given a fair price cheapest I could find in jacksonville and got what I was expecting and more. Fast delivery and willingness to put it where I wanted it even tho it took expertise driving as to not damage anything and put the load out of the way with ease. Will be referring them and using them again. Cheap fair prices and professional deliveries. Quality products for my needs.
Horrible company to do business with. They lie about prices and delivery
These guys were awesome. I have NEVER had a truck show up on time but these guys were actually earlier than expected and delivered 4 loads faster than any company I’ve dealt with. 10000% will be using them again.
Got a quote to have 5 truck loads of rock delivered. $70/hr with a minimum of 4 hours. I was quoted for an hour of drive time ( Jax to St Augustine) but ended up being charged for 2 hours. Also it somehow took 11 additional hours to move the 5 loads of rock. The travel distance was 21 miles from dump site to the rock pit. I expected to end up paying for maybe 10 hours total (seemed reasonable). All in all i was charged for 13 hours to move 5 loads of rock which gave me a grand total of $910. Which is OUTRAGEOUS!.... When I spoke with the gentleman that runs the office I was advised to maybe find someone closer to avoid having to pay for 2 hours of drive time(when that was the least of my concerns). Between the ridiculous travel times(2+ hours per load-- every single load), my customer taking the day off after having to help the driver free up the first load of rocks, the absolute lack of care that this was an absolute rip off price, and the driver not following the directions i specifically gave him (to call me when he was in route with the final load-- he didnt which costed me another hour while he waited for me to show up and give a check)..... PROCEED WITH CAUTION! (Get your price up front)....... Edit #1- Jimmy im not sure who you are because Donnie was the one who worked my ticket. And as far what was quoted, Donnie quoted " 1 hour of drive time, and most likely 5-6 hours for delivery".... we ended up at 13. As far as them being boulders, i leased another local driver and he made the trip with 2 more loads of "boulders" in less than 3 hours TOTAL. Your driver took 2 hours per trip!.... how?! Its 21 miles!.... And before you talk about the loads being jammed while unloading, the first load was the only 1 to do so. My homeowner had to show him how to free the load of rocks. He also stayed home from work for the day to ensure the driver had no more issues (which he didnt). So 1 load did slow him down but how does it take 2 hours to go 42 miles round trip? I have the load slips from his delivery and even with the first load getting stuck (and none of the other loads did get stuck) each load took almost 2 hours exactly. How did it take so long for the 4 others when they didnt get hung up?.... To insinuate that he didnt take advantage of the clock is laughable. 42 miles (round trip) ÷ 120 minutes (2 hours)= ~21 miles per hour. So apparently your drivers truck tops out around 21 mph. But indeed, it was a lesson learned. And like you said, pick your contractors wisely.
