attempted to retrieve my mail at the hidden hills Guard gate During this interaction, I was directed by the guard on duty to move to a different lane. I responded by stating, “I’m sorry, ma’am, I’m in a hurry,” while attempting to comply with her instructions and complete the exchange. Initially, the guard moved to hand me my mail. However, she abruptly changed her mind, turned away, and began walking back toward the guard shack, stating, “No, you’re not getting your mail.” I informed the guard that withholding mail is a federal offense. Following this statement, the guard returned to my vehicle and proceeded to throw the mail at me, even if the mail is not striking my person it is still an act constituted both the intentional obstruction of mail delivery and a physical assault.
