I spoke with Natalie Black for the first time today and had a great experience. She was attentive, non-judgmental, and provided meaningful guidance. I am not great at communicating, but she asked great questions and patiently helped guide our conversation

Dr. Black was great. Unfortunately, after verifying with the office both via my insurance and personally, and being told both on the phone and in writing that I was in-network, they billed me a full FOUR days after my appointment. And I am now being told I will need to pay another 186 dollars for my follow-up, as well. I have the text messages from THEIR office stating my insurance was verified and my co-pay is ZERO. To say it put me in a terrible place mentally is an understatement. I have been struggling gravely with finding a provider, something I made very clear and why I was so thorough with checking the insurance first. Billing flat-out refused to tell me anything. My insurance had to call, tell them it is illegal, and now I have to wait on an "internal investigation" of their billing department to even get anywhere. I am not hopeful. This is the second place that has done something like this, and it makes people who are already barely stable really lose hope. Disgusting, beyond unprofessional, and I would say unethical. I was so hopeful when I walked out Thursday. Now I am in a worse place than I was when I started. EDIT: They have time to reply to a Google review, but nobody bothered calling, emailing or texting me regarding the issue. I think that says everything, sadly. AND I STILL OWE THEM 185.00 (I've added the invoce I just received at proof). They didn't even remove the balance. I was hoping this was just a mistake or oversight, and I would atleast get a phone call explaining what happened, and an appology for putting me through this at such a vulnerable time. But after seeing them take time to reply publically to the review, without bothering to even send me an email??? I feel that THEIR PRIORITIES ARE CLEARLY NOT PATIENT-FIRST. EDIT: I spoke to a woman identifying herself as "head of billing" who assured me it was all a mistake on their end, I am in-network (I already know this), and have a zero-dollar co-pay, and the balance has been removed. She offered to have a new text message sent confirming this. Less than twenty minutes from that call, another woman calls, with no knowledge of the previous call, stating I am not in network and they are resolving to get the balanced removed because it was "her mistake" on the billing end. This has put me in a VERY VERY bad place, I have had three panic attacks in less than an hour dealing with this. As soon as I feel I have a resolution, they rip it away.

Mrs. Natalie Black is by far the best psychiatrist you can ask for she humanizes you she doesn’t make you feel judged and she actually listens to you. She listened to me rant for over 45 minutes wrote down little points and then we talked about them. I mean you couldn’t ask for anyone better as a psychiatrist I highly highly recommend Miss Natalie Black. I promise she won’t let you down. She’s easy to talk to. She makes eye contact comfortable, and overall she doesn’t try to shove a bunch of medication on you. She works very closely with you to figure out what you need not what they want you to have. She’s amazing and I truly truly recommend her.
