I cannot say enough good things about Ponte Vedra Valley funeral home. They helped with the funeral for both my parents most recently, my father they were respectful, kind and organize through the whole process. They made things seamless and Easy. Cristina and the main office was helpful at every step of the way when the time came from the service they had everything in order drinks and refreshments. Available for guests they managed the procession professionally and maintained dignity through the entire Event. They always have a smile on their face, even when you visit, offering you a cold beverage, and lend a kind of ear I would highly recommend this family run operation.
Everyone was compassionate and patient. My father passed away earlier this year and I made the decision to pre-plan the funeral before the death so I could grieve in peace. When he passed I received a personal phone call to let me know my father was in PVV care. Brent was beyond accommodating and professional. During the service all of the catered food was laid out for us and the flowers were arranged beautifully. Seriously thank you guys, you’re wonderful people and I’m glad he was laid to rest in PVV.
My dad had early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, and I had 6.5 years to prepare myself…but, you can’t…I remember telling Brent and Jacque one day that I felt the end was nearing. I remember saying: “When my daddy is finally gone, I’m not going to be okay…not like for a while. Seriously, I’m not going to be okay.” Brent said to me, with deep compassion, “Okay.” Still, when he took his last breath, I continued being my daddy’s caregiver and became everyone else’s — even though I wasn’t okay. Sheryl Sandberg said, “Real empathy is sometimes not insisting that it will be okay but acknowledging that it is not.” Unlike others who asked me for reports on how various family members were holding up, Jacque & Brent held me up. As a result, I was able to navigate the expectations, the demands, the big emotions of the next 10 days (mine and all the others), and stay ahead of my looming crash long enough to bring my dad’s lasting legacy to life. Jacque & Brent didn’t expect me to be okay. They didn’t expect me to do everything, to care for everyone else around me. They didn’t insist his death was okay, and therefore I was supposed to be okay — to be strong for everyone else around me. Instead, they always asked me what I wanted, what I needed, how they could help me. Brent & Jacque gave me a priceless gift — they gave me permission to NOT be okay. My daddy had always done that, and I had to live with the loss of that…However, on Day 10, after closing the casket, I embraced not being okay, and I could because Brent & Jacque were there. My PVV Family was there for me. We will always be family, and I will always be eternally grateful. A year later, when my grandmother died suddenly, it was no different. Call Ponte Vedra Valley if you need a little space & time to not be okay, to be cared for and see the specific vision for your loved one’s remembrance come to life.
Losing a loved one is never easy, but the team at Ponte Vedra Valley made one of the hardest moments of our lives just a little more bearable. From the moment we walked through their doors, Jacque and Brent treated our family with genuine compassion, dignity, and care. They didn’t just provide a service—they walked with us every step of the way. Their professionalism was unmatched, and their attention to detail ensured that my father’s service was both beautiful and deeply personal. Even now, years later, their kindness continues to show up in the ways they support our family and honor his memory. I am forever grateful to them for the grace, empathy, and respect they showed us—not just as clients, but as people. If you are looking for a place that truly understands what it means to care, Ponte Vedra Valley is exactly where you want to be.
PVV is a little piece of heaven on earth. From the moment you roll through the gates your heart feels at home. You have the comfort knowing that your loved one is truly resting in peace. Three of my own family have their “forever home” here. My husband. My father. My mother. Going to visit them is always a joyful moment. The beautiful shady trees, the ponds, the angels, the fountains and the pristeen landscaping, surround all the beautiful souls and families that visit. The tender loving care begins at the moment you loved one arrives. They are respectfully cared for as they are prepared for their last goodbyes. The funeral home was designed to foster families and friends coming together, to celebrate the memories and lives of those who have passed. The beautiful chapel inside is flanked by the social hall and kitchen and dining room where post funeral gatherings become a place to gather and healing can begin. The staff assists in every step along the way to manage the details that free families to simply come together and share the moment. I cannot imagine another place in the surrounding communities that could rival the five star experience you will find here for your loved one in their final home. I encourage everyone to just come visit and see for yourself. We all will need a forever place to abide one day. And it’s never too soon to plan ahead. I am forever grateful to the entire staff at PVV for their tireless efforts to provide my loved ones and our family with the dignity and grace to find peace, comfort and joy.
