Dr. Townsend and Michelle have been a Godsend. I feel completely taken care of and heard during my visits. When I needed a guiding hand finding specialists, Dr. Townsend was a huge help. I feel in control of my medical team/resources. Moving here, I didn’t know anyone so the impact of floundering aimlessly was significant. If you want the hands-on, focused on you, not rushed, conversational doctor appointments, call Dr. Townsend. I felt like I was in a 1950s tv show sitting in his office having a conversation. The days of 5 minutes with a medical professional who might be an MD/DO are over. Highly recommend Dr. Townsend and his practice.

Richard is the third concierge doctor I've had over the past 20 years. They were all great, he is no different. All I can say is that you should make your life simple and prolong it by enrolling as his patient. His office manager Michelle is a pleasure to work with. It's a wonderful experience.

Unlike many doctors who spend only a few rushed minutes with you and where it can take weeks just to see the actual physician instead of an assistant, Dr. Townsend consistently spends 30 to 60 minutes with me during each appointment. He reviews my results line by line, encourages questions, and takes the time to make sure I truly understand what’s happening with my health. What I appreciate most is that he doesn’t push medication. We discuss treatment options thoughtfully, including the pros and cons, and he gives honest recommendations based on what makes sense for me. In my case, his recommendation was actually not to start medication, which speaks volumes about his integrity and patient first mindset. He is fully engaged, attentive, and genuinely invested in his patients’ long term health. If you’re looking for a doctor who will actually learn about you, understand your needs, explain your results clearly, and take the time to help you stay healthy, Dr. Townsend is exceptional.
