0 stars if I could. Brought 5 bags of actually good clothes. Didn’t even take the time to look thru the bags that I took in, do not go here waste of time. They will either take your stuff for 1/8 price or not take it at all, scam level service. Just go donate your clothes instead, way more worth your time.

✨First visit to the Platos Closet Regency location. I was a bit apprehensive to shop here because of an unfavorable experience at another location. I visited on a weekend (Saturday morning). It was not too crowded and the changing rooms were available. I enjoyed thrifting because it gives me a sense of adventure discovering hidden treasures. Overall, my experience here was better. I was traveling in the area and the temperature dropped significantly. I came to find a jacket. I left with a few items. I also appreciate they offer various discounts including military discount. The staff are helpful as well.
Took in 3 bags of clothing (around 100 items). Said they were finished about 10 minutes after dropping them off and took nothing. I had name brand items in there like Zara, Aerie, Levi’s, etc. Most of my items were folded in the exact same spot from when I originally put them in the bags so I don’t think they even went through everything. Nice staff but don’t think they’re thoroughly doing their jobs.
My experience was totally unacceptable, during a recent store visit I brought in some items that I was interested in selling. Upon trying to sell my items I kindly asked if I could retrieve my bins ( clothes they didn’t take ) and put them in the car while I called a family member to see if the offer they gave was acceptable for them since I was selling on their behalf. The store associate Alyssa rudely told me that I could go grab them myself… which was unsettling because the items were behind the counter and from experience you aren’t supposed to just go behind a counter to retrieve your items… she then told me that she would grab it after I had to point it out and told her that’s why I asked and she automatically blew up and told me that I don’t have to be rude, I then asked to speak to a store manager and she interjected the conversation yelling in front of her manager talking rudely and loudly causing a scene in front of not only me but her manager and other guests that were now not able to conduct business due to her holding them up to argue about what I was saying to the manager not to her. She then told me that because I was talking about her it was her business and she was allowed to say what she wanted. Not only that but when she handed me the bin she tossed the handle of it towards me as if she was brushing me off… the experience was totally unacceptable, I asked to speak to the store manager however the phone number I was given has gone straight to voicemail… I expect to get a call back. Or some resolution afoot otherwise I will have to escalate the matter further. To be rude on your own time is one thing but to do it front of your manager and not get called out or told to stop means it’s allowed behavior. I have many family members and friends that I refer to this location. With this type of experience I will make sure they and myself do not return unless a resolution is given.
I had a great experience at Plato’s Closet! The whole concept of buying, selling, and trading clothes makes it super easy to refresh your wardrobe without spending a ton of money. The store was clean, organized, and full of stylish options at really good prices. What stood out most was how smooth the selling process was. The staff was friendly, fair, and explained everything clearly. I was able to bring in clothes I no longer wear and walk out with cash and some new pieces I actually love. It’s the perfect spot if you’re into fashion but want to save money or be more sustainable. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others!
