Pinegrove Market and Deli

Really solid lunch at Pinegrove Deli. Cool old-school vibe, and they even have a butcher shop on site. We got the St. John’s (chicken salad and bacon sandwich) and Jimmy’s Hot Press with turkey and tabbouleh in a pita. Both were great. Had the steamed broccoli and potato salad on the side. The broccoli was fresh and the potato salad was simple but done really well. Also found out they have cans of Old Milwaukee beers and they were BOGO, which was a pleasant surprise. Good food, cool spot, and BOGO beers are always a nice touch. Definitely need to come back for a burger or try the steak dinner.

What an amazing food find! I guess this is the best kept secret in town other than local folks knowing what a good Deli/restaurant they have in the middle of a residential home area. The steak was so amazing and juicy! The seasoning on the steak was fantastic. Would come back again if we lived here, just to eat the best steak around!!!! This place comes with some issues as they need more AC on the walls, as it was very hot and humid in the restaurant. The Wine bottles they use for daily pouring a glass of wine are left on the counter and my first glass of wine had turned to vinegar. The staff opened a new bottle and everything was okay. Keeping bottles of wine as they do for sale in a very hot restaurant can cause wine to go bad quickly. Both the white and Red wines should be kept in a much cooler environment. This would keep the waste down. The Caesar salad took a nose dive as well and was pitiful! It should come with bright green leaves mixed in with the light color ones and not all chopped up, Mix the leaves in a bowl with the dressing and grated Parmesan cheese along with the croutons. Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese on the top to make the prestation better. The croutons were good but this salad was sparse and unappealing to eat. The salad needs work! The bake potato also took a nose dive. When asked for a loaded bake potato it came with some gooey orange weird looking cheese, like cheese Wheeze and a long piece of curled up bacon. What a mess. A good baked potato comes grated cheese and chopped up bacon bits. The butter and the cold sour cream either on it or on the side like they did. The meat comes from Mid Western Meats company...... and that's one of the best places to get full finished grain meat! We live in Az and we also have Mid Western Meat company and can get good cuts of steak I did buy four steaks at the store and cant wait to get home and grill them out The reason i did not give it 5 stars is there were 3 issues, the wine, the salad and the bake potato, they all need to work to make the total experience better I did talk to the owner and made some suggestions on how to improve on some items and how he shared how he makes the steaks at his restaurant taste so good!

You can’t go wrong with grabbing a bite here. I’ve come by two weekends in a row with the family, and we haven’t been disappointed yet. Super friendly and attentive staff, too!

This is a great neighborhood spot. The people who work there are so nice and clearly take pride in what they do, and most importantly the food is delicious! We’ve tried so many of the sandwiches now and they’re all soooo good that it’s hard to decide what to order. They all have a delightful homemade quality, and portions are generous. Highly recommend!
