*** UPDATED 08/29/26. Hard to increase from 5 🌟, but we had another great meal and experience here. We share the Jeff, we now call the Rico Special = scratch the ketchup, add wiz, add Cooper sharp cheddar!! Do not skip the Cooper (thanks for the tip). Then a side of Old Bay fries... with cheese dip. I will be back every time I visit from Colorado! Thank you for the great service Amanda!!!! Not sure why the rating is less than 4.5 stars. The Philly cheese steak was quite good, but those Old Bay dusted French fries were amazing! We had the Jeff, but subtracted the ketchup and added cheese whiz. We shall call this version "The Rico"! Go try this joint!
First time I ever showed up here. I was greeted quickly and given the menu. The prices were moderately high. I tried their Philly that did not come with fries. I think it was an extra $4 or $5 dollars. The receipt did not have a breakdown for me to be exact. But I believe the price is close. Then I wanted some funnel fries and they were a little pricey. $7. I expected to get quite a bit of them. I didn't. I don't think I got $7 worth, when I could have cooked the same thing and sprinkled some cinnamon sugar on them. In the pictures I got about the same amount of funnel fries that I did with the regular fries, and I had to pay double the price I don't think cinnamon sugar cost that much. Because that's the only difference, I ended up spending almost $34 which included a $3 tip. My order was to go. Spending $35 is a little bit high to come for lunch. I might come back again, but I definitely won't get the funnel fries. Just way too high for what I got. The sandwich wasn't too bad. The meat didn't have any flavor in it, but with the toppings it made for a good sandwich.
Stopped into Philly's Finest in Jax Beach the other day and it did not disappoint. The cheesesteak was loaded, the bread was fresh, and everything came out hot and fast. Friendly staff and a laid-back beach spot. This is my new go-to for a real Philly in Jacksonville. Highly recommend!
Phillies Finest Cheesesteaks & Pizzas absolutely knocks it out of the park every single time! From the moment you walk in, the sports-themed atmosphere is energetic, fun, and full of hometown spirit — the perfect place to catch a game, hang out with friends, or grab a drink kept cold by the innovative ice bar. The staff always makes you feel like a regular. The cheesesteaks are championship-level and packed with flavor, and the pizza is hands-down some of the best around, fresh ingredients imported from Philly and consistently delicious every visit. You can tell this place takes pride in quality and tradition. Phillies Finest feels like a true local favorite where good food, sports culture, and community all come together.
We went here for takeout. I got a cheese steak, no sauce. Was very good but I wish I got sauce because the steak was bland but still the best cheese steak I've had in a long time. Most places don't make them like that anymore. I also got buffalo wings and they were EXCELLENT!! It was Dollar wing night. Best wings I've had in years. They were big and sauce was good but make sure to grab napkins because they don't give any. My mom got a pizza. She said it was ok but I didn't try it so IDK. I would definitely go back for the wings. The atmosphere was very dark and they have so many chairs at the bar they're too close together, but other than that it was nice. They have outdoor seating.
