I heard this place was THE spot, but it didn’t really live up to the hype. Maybe it’s because I’m not a Jax native, but the vibes were just okay and like every regular dive bar. Really good merch tho!

Overall will likely have something that you’re looking for at varying times of the day. If you’re on vacation and looking for a cool place to have a pint or two in the afternoon it’s a great place for that. Expect to see a 25 and under crowd on any Friday or Saturday though. College bar vibes on weekend evenings. Couple pool tables and a vast outdoor area. Parking can be a bit spotty, but very walkable to many other places. Wait staff is very hard working, and drink prices are more than reasonable for the area.

We were from out of state and wanted to try a popular local spot. We were majorly disappointed by the professionalism and service provided by the bouncer at the front door. The second we opened the door from running in from pouring rain we were bombarded about our ids that we were activity pulling out, and explained that. With not being locals we were not used to the instantaneous Id check and usually are given a second to pull out our ids in times where we were running in from a bad storm. In addition there was no line until the last few seconds of our experience. Instead of asking us to move to the side so that someone could pass, the bouncer was very rude, rolling his eyes and made us feel less safe/comfortable coming here. We immediately left based on this interaction. We were very disappointed.
