I had a very disappointing experience with Patriot Growth Insurance Services, LLC (formerly Shapiro Insurance Group) agency. I purchased a homeowner’s insurance policy based on a quoted premium, only to later discover that multiple key details were entered incorrectly on my application (roof type, construction type, square footage, and even a birth year). These errors were confirmed by the insurance carrier and resulted in my premium increasing by over $700. I relied on the agency to submit accurate information, and had the correct data been used, I likely would have made a different decision. When I brought this to their attention, they acknowledged the situation but refused to take responsibility or offer any reimbursement. Instead, they attempted to redirect me toward new quotes and policy adjustments, which does not address the financial impact already caused. Overall, this experience involved unnecessary stress, wasted time, and unexpected costs due to avoidable errors. I do not recommend this agency.
Terrible experience all around. When the company switched from Southern Insurance Group to Patriot the service went way down. You cannot get a hold of an agent to save your life. They promise they’ll call you back and don't. I switched agencies and am very happy with my choice.
I called Southern Insurance Group / Patriot Growth Insurance last week to cancel my auto policy for my sons car, which was renewing on December 22. I sold my sons car and he was getting his own policy for another car. It was set to auto pay on December 22. I spoke to someone at the office and she said that she canceled that Auto Pay. She said " just don't pay and the policy will cancel " They withdrew the funds anyway and now I will have to waste more time on the phone trying to get this money back. This agency used to be Southern Insurance, but they were bought out by this Patriot Growth Insurance. I will be switching my homeowners policy to another agency. This really screwed up my bank account because I was not expecting that large amount to come out of my account. I have been trying to call, but now there is no answer.
Terrible company. I requested a quote over 12 days ago. They rarely answer the phone and on the off chance they do they say they will follow up with the insurance company and never respond back to you. I have left several voicemails and never received a callback. Do not work with this company as they are not professional and will waste your time.
I've used them for YEARS and now I'm looking for another company.
