I have a pool that Parker Pools built years ago, and the company still cares enough to provide great customer service. Robert went above and beyond helping me with an issue in just two days that would have taken other companies weeks to resolve. I am very impressed and can't recommend Parker Pools enough.
I've had a great experience with Parker Pools. Their staff was very helpful and professional throughout the entire process, from choosing options for my pool (special thanks to Trudy for her expert advice), to making sure that everything was done right and stress-free. My pool is beautiful, it exceeded my expectations - thanks to entire team at Parker Pools.
We have had 4 swimming pools built in the last 10 years, and this by far was the worst experience!!!! Calling him a rude man is an understatement. He ruined more than he helped! We ended up subbing several parts out that he messed and or couldn't do. He walked off our job yet has a photo of our pool on his website. We would not recommend using this company. He only came to our house twice and that was to argue with us. Do yourself a favor and find another company. Let's hope our pool passes the final inspection that we had to request over and over, after all he hasn't even finished grouting after 15 months!
Robert and his team did an amazing job on our pool and we are really happy with it but what I love most is the after contract service. What I mean is I can pick up the phone or send Robert a text anytime and he is happy to answer my questions regarding any aspect of the pool. I highly recommend them for quality, fair prices and excellent ongoing service!
Sloppy, Unprofessional and Slow! The title might sound harsh, but unfortunately, it is factual. Every step from beginning to end could be described using those three words. If you are considering using Parker Pools, I strongly encourage you to visit some of his finished pools. I would be happy to share mine as such an example. The sloppiness resulted in many defects with the finished pool – extreme sloping of the deck (8 times normal per paver company), uneven coping (differences from 6-12 inches), bubblers completely out of line, sun desk has large slope in the middle, pavers are sinking, plumbing is sloppy, lights are installed incorrectly, etc. On the unprofessional front – constant and routine false statements from Robert himself was a big problem. By the end, we felt like you could not trust anything that came out of his mouth. And at times, it felt almost vindictive, like he knew that you were at his mercy, what recourse did we have once he had the $$? Additionally, every vendor including Parker Pools own people treated our property like a garbage dump – trash left all over the yard, some days hundreds of empty plastic bottles scattered across the entire yard even in areas that they had no reason to be. Other trash, cigarette butts, etc, strewn everywhere. Roberts own folks left at least 100 cigarette butts in our gunite pool that would then sit there for over a month with a foot of stagnant trash and butt filled water – sound nice? The gunite team left a pile of remaining gunite 2 feet high in the middle of our sod, a good 50 feet from the pool, I guess cleaning a wheel barrow or the like. Roberts own team cussed at us, yes the F word, because we asked about something he did?? He made my wife so nervous, she quit talking to him. People would just show up with no notice, with no real idea of what they were supposed to do and looking at me for answers and I don’t even know who they are or what they are supposed to do. There was ZERO project mgmt. to this project ever! Honestly, the only thing that Robert always seemed good at was knowing where you were in the payment schedule. And Sloooow…… 22 weeks from start (forms in the yard, ready for digging) to finish (what Parker Pools considers finished anyway). Robert told us to expect 6-8 weeks from start to finish! And almost all of this time was just sitting waiting, 4 weeks with just a big empty hole, literally not a single other person visited for 4 weeks. 4 weeks to get plumbing rough in installed, gunite shell sat for over 1 month. Pavers took months as well - Came one day, did half, left for two weeks, then another half, it fell in, 2 more weeks to get that repaired. These are just glaring examples. If I had a nickel for every excuse Robert has given me over the last 22 weeks, I would have several dollars. Bottom line, we were disappointed with the entire experience with Parker Pools and especially with Robert Parker himself. I will finish with some direct quotes from his suppliers on this project. “Wow, you have a drawing, I have never seen a drawing on a Parker pool before” – the plumber “Robert is cheap, I have never seen him pay for the correct paver sand on any project that we have ever done for them” – the pavers “Robert’s decks always fall in, I just fixed another one this morning. I don’t know what he is doing when he backfills” – the pavers “Robert said not to come back and fix this, he said you would never notice” – the painter “I don’t need to see the property to build you a pool.” – Robert Parker This last one says it all, it should have been a BIG red flag!
