  **My Experience at Panache** I went into Panache with an inspiration photo—the second picture—with one simple request: I was already bright platinum blonde and wanted a few dimensional pieces added while maintaining my blonde. Instead, I left with the dark, muddy hair shown in the last two photos. This was nowhere close to what I asked for or the inspiration I provided. What makes the situation even more upsetting is that the first picture is a highly edited photo combining my hair and my inspiration photo. Stylist Lexi posted it on her personal account as well as the Panache account, presenting it as her work and making it appear as though this was the result I received. It was not an accurate representation of my actual hair. I went back the following day because I was extremely unhappy and honestly felt uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. Instead of feeling like a client who was simply trying to have her hair corrected, I felt judged. I received dirty looks from multiple people, and during the appointment with the new stylist, I was hit numerous times on the head with the hairdryer. The only person who made me feel comfortable was the receptionist. The night before, I had called the salon crying because of how upset I was. The receptionist was kind and reassured me that everyone there was mature and could take criticism. Unfortunately, that was not how I felt when I returned. I felt judged and unwelcome for expressing that I was unhappy with the service. I was offered a “detox,” which ultimately felt like little more than a glorified wash and did not address the fact that my hair was completely different from what I had requested. I am sharing my experience because clients should be able to bring an inspiration photo, clearly communicate what they want, and expect the finished result to reasonably reflect that request. If something goes wrong, they should also be able to return and discuss it without feeling embarrassed, judged, or blamed. My biggest issue isn't simply that I didn't like my hair. It's the combination of the result, the edited photo being presented publicly as the work, and the way I felt treated when I returned to address the problem.
