Sad to see they took away the playground structure (slides and such). Only the swings and the zip line remain. Everything in the playground area is dirty and needs a good power wash and new mulch. Is our city broke? Seems like it by the state of things here. Sad, sad, sad. My kid played in that playground for years. The park is still good for walking (nice paved loop with shade) riding bikes, etc. I actually e-mailed coj parks and they said they are working on upgrades to the playground but no set timeline for it yet...

THEY ESSENTIALLY TORE DOWN THE PLAYGROUND. There are no slides and no playset. They left a tiny residual of what was once the playset which was a sad excuse for a “wall” to climb. They left a run down strip of like 2 baby swings with a raggedy old cover. Oh and off to the side there is a single lonely zip line that sometimes functions. It is so sad. They had a playground set that eventually broke, with a hole in the rusted bridge walk, and instead of fixing it or replacing it they just tore it down and did nothing to try to replace it. I emailed the park director when it happened (Around Feb. 2024) and he said then they were “planning” on putting something there. But still nothing. Apparently our city is completely broke, or gives zero craps about our children having a local area to go be kids and play. Extremely disappointing.
2/5 stars because its like they gave up half way on renovations....the playground has been removed so your options are 2 kid swings,1 baby swing, a climbing wall, and the zipline that every child is waiting in line for. No kid is even looking at the fenced in area. Several families showed up and left. We only stayed long enough to search for another park. Dirty sun shades and area needs mulch as well so theres muddy/sandy spots in the fenced in area. No bathrooms either and the trails need cleaned up. Very disappointed that its september and weve all been waiting since beginning of this year for a playground and its hardly even finished or barely even planned out. Its wild to me thst the sports complex hosts such a sad playground.
Great paved trail for running/walking, has nice scenery. Giving it 2 stars because there is no playground anymore. Used to be our favorite place to go but it’s been a few years and still no new playground for the kids to play on. Only a few swings, a climbing wall, and a zip line.
We went there for a walk by evening time the acces and parking was easy, there was few people by that time but if is a weekend day have to be early because the softball camp will be plenty of people warhing the games. The walking trial near the highway is not recommended if you're alone, but there is a lot of space for the child's to play, I can't not mention the cleaner thi park is, a beautifull example of our County people do.
