I have been waiting more than three months to receive the unused portion of my second retainer, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. At the time my case closed, all invoices had been paid in full and on time. However, I was never notified in my closing letter that I was owed a refund. I only learned about the credit after calling the office myself. During that call, I was not informed that the review process could take 60-90 days. I had to call back weeks later to get that information. After the full 90 days had passed, I still had received no communication or update. Once again, I had to reach out myself. I was unable to speak with anyone in billing and left a message expressing my concerns about how this matter has been handled. 24 hours later, and I still have not received a response. What is most disappointing is the lack of communication throughout this entire process. If there is a legitimate reason for the delay, it should be communicated. Instead, I have repeatedly had to follow up with no clear answers and little to no responsiveness from the billing department. I find it difficult to understand why it should take more than 3 months to review and return funds that belong to a client, especially when there was never any difficulty contacting me when payment for the retainer was due. Meanwhile, I continue to incur unnecessary interest charges because the unused balance has not been refunded to my credit card. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Owenby Law. The lack of communication and delay in returning client funds have been unacceptable.

A friend recommended this firm, and I can see why. Everyone I interacted with was courteous and responsive. There was one delay getting a document finalized, but they kept me updated and explained the reason clearly. The issue was handled professionally from there.
