Operation New Hope is truly a life-changing organization that gives people more than just resources—it gives them hope. Their dedication to helping individuals who need one chance and one opportunity to rebuild their lives is inspiring. The staff genuinely care about each person's success and work tirelessly to provide guidance, support, and encouragement every step of the way. What stands out most is their belief in second chances. They see potential in people and help them overcome barriers that may have once seemed impossible. Through their programs, they empower individuals to gain confidence, find meaningful employment, and create a brighter future for themselves and their families. I am grateful for the hope, encouragement, and opportunities that Operation New Hope provides. Their commitment to helping people transform their lives makes a real difference in our community. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking support, a fresh start, and a pathway to success.
Pros: + Great incentives and benefits ++ lunch almost every day; pays rent for three months, provides a job coach, case manager, and therapist + Great staff ++ they are all truly motivated to see you succeed and flourish; they speak not only from the heart but from relevant personal experience + Efficient use of time ++ you can get a LOT accomplished in three weeks here!) + Focus on financial hygiene/recovery Cons: - they talk a lot about how important the mock interviews are but save them for the end of the last day every week, which leaves other classmates tired and distracted and makes the interviewing window feel rushed -- what they should do is have everyone do a mock interview each week, during the main instructional hours -- this way participants can gain confidence and internalize what we learn about - they have a lot of rules about dress code, behavior, and participation, but let too much slide just to keep bodies in seats -- if someone is just in the program for free lunches, Wifi, and A/C, it will show, and such people need to be disciplined much more promptly and consistently for thumbing their nose at the program (by showing up in pajamas, basketball clothes, slides, etc., disrupting the class by using their phones and going in and out of the classroom at will)
I want to sincerely thank Operation New Hope for the support, guidance, and hope they have given me during one of the most important transitions in my life. This program has truly been more than just a service—it has been a place of growth, healing, and encouragement when I needed it the most. I am deeply grateful to my case manager, Ms. Cooper, for her patience, consistency, and belief in me even during difficult moments. Her support has meant more than words can fully express. I also want to thank my therapist, Ms. Dixon, for her compassion, understanding, and the way she has helped me work through personal challenges and grow stronger mentally and emotionally. I would also like to give heartfelt thanks to my instructor, Carlton, Tyree, Mr. Ken, and Mr. Jeff for their guidance, encouragement, and dedication to helping us succeed. A special thank you to JC, who always greets everyone at the door with a warm smile and genuine kindness—it truly sets the tone for the day. Ms. Shaude also deserves recognition for her support and positive presence. Each of you has played a role in helping me believe in myself again and push forward toward a better future. I am truly grateful for every lesson, every word of encouragement, and every moment of support. Operation New Hope has impacted my life in a way I will never forget. Warm Regards, Joshua Nelson Client
ONH has been such an incredible source of support and encouragement. From walking into the doors, they make you feel welcomed, respected, and genuinely cared about. All the staff here goes above and beyond to help with guidance, success, resources, and having hope with every step. The commitment shown is truly inspiring and they are creating an environment for individuals to feel valued, empowered, and motivated to reach their goals.
The Ready for Work program was truly life-changing for me. It gave me the tools, confidence, and support I needed to get back on track and move forward in my career. The staff was caring, patient, and genuinely invested in my success. I learned valuable job skills, interview techniques, and how to believe in myself again. I’m so grateful for this program and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh start. Thank you Operation New Hope and staff.
