Small coastal fishing town. Easy walking and decent ADA accesses at street level. Plenty of shops from beach gear/ accessories to engagement rings and lovely places for all the fun in between.
Tours & Attractions
Old Town Fernandina Beach, FL, is a 20 minute drive from the Omni resort on Amelia Island. It has an array of highly rated restaurants (see my Cafe Karibo review), the harbor for boat rides, shops for browsing, and the all important ice cream shops. It is a beautiful stroll, especially after dark when the street lights are on and the buildings are lit. Most places seem to close by 9 p.m. parking is free in nearby lots a block off Centre Street (A1A). Relaxing and enjoyable.
Nice simple place to walk around and take in some scenic views and learn some history
