Ocean Park is an excellent church. It's affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, but I guarantee it's unlike most SBC churches that you've attended. Pastor Chris Partyka really tries to create a thoughtful, Christ-centered worship experience. He cares about his congregation and sets aside time during the service to pray specifically for members, as well as for other churches and for nations in need of the gospel.
Met the Pastor during my first visit today. Very engaging and down to earth guy, with the passion for delivering God's word without the overdone production present in many churches. Pray they grow with new believers.
Best church on the beach IMHO. The Minister who does the preaching is excellent and he should be live streaming and if his message could get the air time it could get, he'd reach many lost souls. The man is truly gifted and filled with the Holy Spirit. I won't go to another church again, I'm right at home here.
There is not a children’s ministry so young kids are left to sit through an adult service bored. I believe children should be taught on a level for their understanding.
Visiting Jacksonville and had the privilege of worshipping at Ocean Park Baptist. It was truly a blessing. Pastor Chris and his congregation welcomed me and were so gracious. If you're near Jacksonville Beach and are looking for a loving church with expressly biblical, yet practical Bible teaching, you need to stop by and visit Ocean Park Baptist!
