Went there to see a doctor about adhd medication and even got confirmed to meet with the doctor the morning before. When I got to the office they switched me to the nurse practitioner who was nice but then told me I could not get my medication with her as she could not prescribe. I tried to tell them it’s not my fault. They switched the doctor on me last minute after I told them I needed a medication refill. They proceeded to tell me since I already did the appt I would still be charged.….. ended up billing me as a physical to lower my visit that day… won’t be back.
I've been coming here for about 2 years now and have never had such a responsive, kind, welcoming doctor's office. The male receptionist is such a gentleman with a kind demeanor and smile. Dr. B and NP Leanne are the dream team with Ashley, Christina, and Kristine. I thoroughly enjoy coming here because all the mentioned names generate such positive energy and patience. While all parties go above and beyond for me, I'd like to extend my greatest gratuity to Kristine, the one responsible for handling the prior-auths. I am a nurse myself, and understand how difficult insurance can be and how important she really is. Thank you all (especially Kristine!).
The one star goes to the staff who were cheerful and kind. I was hoping to find a doctor with out of the box thinking willing to work within my means for Lyme treatment. This is not the place for that. I didn't even get to the point of meeting Dr. Blissenbach because she had someone else do the initial appointment and didn't take the time to show up to the Telehealth appointment. Instead, she had someone call me (during the time we were supposed to be on Telehealth) to tell me I'm too poor to afford the treatment. Additionally, I was quoted a much higher price for the Telehealth appointment than I had been originally. I was willing to invest in my health but I wasn't met with the level of courtesy I would expect from a doctor who supposedly understands Lyme sufferers. From what I did see, their treatment plan is "Throw Everything at the Wall and see What Sticks" Unless money is not an issue, and you have time to spare, steer clear!
Dr. Blissenbach is a fabulous doctor, who listened to my needs and was extraordinarily kind. Unfortunately, she has pivoted her role at the office and is no longer seeing primary care patients. After Dr. B’s pivot, I saw LeaAnne for my annual visits. While she does have good reviews, I have seen her twice now and she had a very abrasive personality each time. When I discussed some health issues with her and started getting emotional about them, she treated me like I was inconveniencing her with my tears. Also, another nurse kept coming in and gossiping to her about a patient, which made me feel like they were going to do the same thing to me once I left the room. The front office staff were the same way, talking openly about their disdain for the people they were speaking to on the phone. Very unprofessional and made me feel like I was in high school again. I canceled my next appointment and will never be returning.
We (my wife, mother and myself) have been patients of Dr. Blissenbach for over ten years (she was recommended to us by several other doctors). She is extremely knowledgeable and caring. She takes the time necessary to understand our issues. Also, her staff are very caring, helpful and knowledgeable.
