New Berlin Fish House & Oyster Bar

I stopped in toward the end of the evening while they were still open for about another 45–50 minutes. When I first walked in, several people looked at me but no one greeted me. I eventually had to ask someone where the restroom was. After coming back out, I still waited several minutes before being seated. It seemed like the staff was already starting their closing and cleaning routines, which may have contributed to the delay. Once I was seated, someone came over and took my drink order, and shortly after a new server came over to take my food order. He was much friendlier, and from that point forward the service really started to improve. I ordered the grouper nuggets and the lump crab stew. The stew was absolutely fantastic rich, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. I would honestly come back just for that alone. Overall, a bit of a slow start with the welcome and seating, but the food especially the crab stew was excellent and made the visit worthwhile.

First time visiting New Berlin and me and my husband loved it! Friendly atmosphere, great service, and some of the best seafood we have had in a long time! I had the cheesy grits with blackened grouper and my husband had the grouper sandwich, both were excellent meals! Their upside down peach cake was amazing! Price was fair for the quality of food and service we experienced, highly recommend to drop by!

If you want to slide out of the hustle of Jacksonville Florida and into some chill seafood, check this spot out. Ample bar space, great oysters on the half shell at probably the best price short of a happy hour this spot will not disappoint. First 12 so good I did a second dozen. I can’t say enough great things about New Berlin's Fish House,it is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Jacksonville! We are regulars here because every visit is a delight. The food is always delicious, with fresh seafood and perfectly balanced flavors, and the prices are incredibly affordable for the quality you get. Plus, the staff is phenomenal, warm, welcoming, and always going above and beyond. We keep coming back, and we can’t recommend it enough!
