Google Review Our experience with this dealership has been extremely disappointing, from the time we purchased the vehicle up until now. At the time of purchase, the sales manager verbally assured us that the vehicle was reliable and that if anything needed to be repaired, we could bring it back and their mechanic would take care of it. Unfortunately, we began having problems almost immediately. The headlight was not working when we received the vehicle, so we brought it back and they repaired it. The vehicle also had a very strong cigarette smell. Within days, the vehicle began overheating, which we again brought to their attention and they repaired. Shortly afterward, the key we were given stopped communicating with the vehicle, leaving us unable to start it. We had to pay over $100 for a tow back to the dealership, only to be told the issue was the key. We were then given another key that was also damaged and beginning to split. After that, the passenger door handle stopped working, followed by the passenger window failing to roll back up. This resulted in our family, including our children, being exposed to rain while riding in the vehicle. The roof also began leaking. Initially, we were told the window issue would be addressed. However, when we attempted to bring the vehicle in, we were suddenly told that we needed an appointment, despite never previously being told that an appointment was required when we brought the vehicle in for repairs. We eventually spoke with the owner, Robin, in person and were told that the dealership was not responsible for repairing these issues and that we would have to pay $300+ if we wanted them to do the repairs. This was completely different from what we were told when we purchased the vehicle. Communication and customer service deteriorated significantly after that. We felt that our concerns were repeatedly dismissed, and we were left extremely frustrated by the way the situation was handled. Most recently, the vehicle was repossessed over a $92 balance that was approximately one week late. We were then informed that the amount required to recover the vehicle was approximately $8,056 after additional tow and storage charges. When we asked about retrieving our personal belongings from the vehicle, we were told there would also be an additional fee of approximately $250–$350 before we could retrieve them. We are currently seeking clarification regarding our rights to retrieve our personal property. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from them to think about it. We expected honesty, professionalism, and reasonable customer service. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. Update on response after own responded: SO LET ME GET THIS CLEAR SO EVERYONE KNOWS YOURE LIARS. Yes, the sales manager CHRIS did say free repairs- they’re lying trying to cover their butts. And I NEVER yelled at the owner and said that’s all I’m paying and not making anymore payments that know that’s a lie , I have proof of everything. Audio and text, so you guys can lie all you want. We made our payments every one of them except the $92 they came and repo it for because they’re butt hurt because they don’t wanna do anymore repairs after promising it then tried to make us pay for it. These issues should have never been here because Chris said the car was reliable first of all. He lied to get a sale. It is illegal what they are doing. They were never reasonable. They want to say they gave us a second key for kindness but both of the keys provided should have never been broken in the first place, so still all the blame comes back to them. I kept it calm and civil., never once yelled at these people or threatened bad google reviews. Yes I did say lawyers because they tried to lie and scam us and did everything illegally. I know my laws and unfortunately for them they have to deal with the consequences that they did. Trying to make me pay for MY personal property is illegal too!
Do not ever do business with this company I paid $5000 down just for the car to stop working within two weeks of leaving lot. I had to call them multiple times just to get an update on what was going on with my vehicle. They advised they needed to replace the engine (the engine chain link popped supposedly). It is now a week after engine was replaced with supposedly brand new engine and the check engine light is back on! They still expected me to pay $1000 that Friday. After they had the car for a week and I spent over $500 dollars in Ubers. They did not offer to reimburse me for the Ubers I had to pay for nor did they offer to take it off the balance. I was advised if I paid the $100 for towing the vehicle to them they would credit my account $100 that never happened. Not to mention the tow truck that showed up just so happen to have another car on the back already that was going to the same dealership because that customer to was having issues with their vehicle. It’s also been 30 days I called yesterday multiple times to get a replacement tag no one answered. I called today for them to basically tell me they can’t give me a new tag until Monday. I advised that would not work I need to work Monday. They pretty much told me it’s nothing they can do. I also have a friend that advised me after I got the vehicle that had they knew I was going to this lot they would have strongly advised me to not go to this dealership because they too had an issue with the car they purchased. I was advised that this lot gets physical appealing cars with serious issues BE CAREFUL!!!! Edit: After speaking with Chris, we were able to reach an agreement. While I cannot say I am completely satisfied with the outcome, I do appreciate the effort he made to help resolve the situation. I understand that his authority is limited and that certain decisions ultimately rest with the owner. Throughout this process, Chris was never the issue. He was consistently professional, respectful, and responsive in every interaction we had. In fact, I believe the agreement we reached would not have been possible without his involvement and willingness to listen. My hope is that the owner’s reputation does not negatively impact Chris’s own, as he has been truly wonderful to work with. He was helpful, understanding, and professional every time we spoke, and I genuinely appreciate the time and effort he invested in assisting me.
I purchased a vehicle from National Automotive Inc, and it was a really positive experience overall. The staff was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. The process felt straightforward and honest, which made a big difference compared to other dealerships I’ve dealt with in the past. They took the time to explain everything clearly and worked with me to set up payments that fit my budget. I never felt pressured, and there were no surprises, just clear communication and a smooth process from start to finish. Lauren was great to work with as well. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and made sure everything moved along smoothly. She answered my questions and made sure I felt comfortable with my decision. It’s reassuring to know I can come back to the same place for maintenance and support if I ever need it. Overall, I would definitely recommend National Automotive Inc to anyone in Jacksonville looking for a reliable used car and flexible payment options. They are the best!
You’re a liar and I’m going to prove it to you! You left the business before the police showed up. Only myself and my witness was there when police showed up they also left and you still had not showed up to speak with them hmm weird! I was the aggressor but yet I called JSO before you. You only called JSO because you were trying to leave before JSO got there however you could not secure your lot because the car I was driving blocked you from doing so THATS WHY YOU TRULY CALLED JSO! I never cursed you out Saturday I simply stated you all need to do better business. Upon my arrival I politely came in and said Hi am here to pick up my tag. You immediately responded oh your Mrs. Hicks the one that left me a nasty review. That appears as you were the confrontational one not me any other professional business would have never spoke to a customer in that manner they would be more apologetic and asking how can we make it right and I’m pretty sure the recordings would 100% support everything I’m saying. Not once before I responded to that statement where there ever an issue regarding the payment. She did not like my response to her and that’s when payment came into play. If you want to speak on contracts your contract explicitly states if any payments are missed in first 60 days without prior approval you will repossess car immediately and car will not be returned until full amount is paid. Why has that not taken place because there was an agreement and because she is in her feelings because I spoke on my honest experience my agreement is now null and void. Let’s go a step further spitting is a form of assault if this was reported to JSO that I spit on you why was I not arrested? I urge you to post the unaltered video of the whole interaction I dare you! Matter fact post it on FB and tag me @LexiLove I bet we never see that video because I never spit on any one. It’s also hard to yell something out the window as I’m pulling off if all the windows were up and we’re never rolled down which I’m pretty sure the video would also support. This alone proves you are a liar and the truth is not in you!! I’m glad I had a witness with me I’m also glad I spoke with the two officers that showed up!!! I also watched them pull off and leave YOU NEVER SPOKE WITH JSO! Remember you said you needed to go get your kids and I was stopping you because I made you stay up there an hour longer than you planned to because I wouldn’t move my car until you gave me an unexpired tag. You finally gave in because you wanted to leave and gave me what I needed after an hour which I had told you the hold time just give me my tag and I will leave!!!
National automotive is the best place to buy cars, and the staff is always wonderful. It’s like they have everything under one roof. also, just had my car worked done today and their mechanic shop and their mechanic always do an awesome job on fixing the car and they’re fast too. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
