If not for Valerie intervening, I would have wasted time, effort and parking fees. Serena was quite rude, but at least offered me a solution. I went to do what she said, then came back only to be told by Emily that it was not sufficient. Emily was extremely rude, combative and unhelpful. She actually told me to stop explaining what had happened (then denied when I challenged her)and arrogantly handed me a list of other acceptable documents. I asked for a supervisor and was told there wasn't one...? I then heard a voice suggesting she should not argue with me, which turned out to be Valerie, who took over and promptly, efficiently and pleasantly took care of my request with the documentation I had. If you draw the unlucky number to work with Emily, ask for someone else. She is terrible at her job, was wrong and could not handle being wrong, nor did she apologize for being wrong. She personifies why people hate to go to the dmv. Unless you get Valerie, I'd recommend going to the dmv office off-island. As an aside, the police handling security were actually fun and helpful. They should train Emily.
Wasted 3 hours of my day while trying to get my learners. Then after multiple others told me we had the correct things i was told i took the wrong drivers ed test and had to take a different course. Then 30mins later on the phone i find out that the DMV lied and they actually have the correct test in their systems and they just fully lied and sent us out. And now i can't go back in because after wasting our time we aren't allowed to do anything driving related after 4:30 because we don't get anything in return for their screw ups.
Love the staff that works here! Hardly any wait and handled everything efficiently!
Been here twice, & it’s always been unpleasant. I’ve always needed just “another document”. I’m trying to get my address updated on my license, I bring in a handful of mail & it’s just “junk & we can’t verify it” I’m busy with a family & this is such a hassle. Not sure why we like making things difficult
The people who work in the downtown Fernandina office are the kind, friendly & some of the most helpful people. They actually go out of their way to help. Every encounter has been great.
