I saw Dr. Jacobs for several months. She was Enormously helpful in helping me resolve issues regarding loss, anxiety, and personal relationships. I found her to be Extraordinarily insightful and intuitive. I valued my time with her and was sorry when I had no more issues to resolve. In 2017 I began treatment with Dr. Jacobs. I was an active alcoholic. I was dealing with 3 chronic illnesses, one of which causes me constant pain, exacerbated by the alcohol. With the pain came opiate medication and a corresponding new addiction. I was unable to work in the field I went to college and graduate school for. I had stopped doing all the the things that brought me joy. I spent probably 95% of my life in my room. Naomi greeted me without a hint of judgement. At the time, I couldn’t even imagine being happy. I had made the professional work I did my identity, and that was gone. Today I’m engaged in my life again. I do fun stuff. I like myself a little more And I haven’t had drink in 4 years. I wouldn't be here without Naomi. She treated me with kindness and acceptance. I’ve always felt supported and heard. I am better off and still improving. I credit Dr. Jacobs’s guidance as a major role in my sobriety and my continuing hope for a better future.
