Nails So Happy- Non Toxic Nail Salon of Orange Park

I had a very disappointing experience at Nails So Happy, and based on how I was treated, I cannot recommend this salon. I had a 6:00 p.m. appointment, but when I arrived, the technician I was originally scheduled with was still performing a pedicure. She was kind, apologized, and even suggested that another technician take me so I wouldn't have to wait. She explained that she had no idea the manager had booked me during a time she was already occupied. The technician who ended up doing my nails appeared to be very inexperienced. She had to repeatedly start over because she couldn't get the polish right, turning what should have been a routine appointment into an experience that lasted over two hours. The manager's behavior was by far the worst part of my visit. Instead of taking responsibility for the scheduling mistake, she became confrontational and dismissive. She told me that if my original technician had wanted to do my nails, she would have stopped in the middle of another client's pedicure to take me because I had an appointment. The manager then said the technician "clearly didn't want to do my nails," which was an incredibly unprofessional thing to say about her own employee in front of a customer. When I expressed concern that my appointment had taken over two hours, the manager told me she "didn't need customers like me" who complain. Hearing the manager tell a paying customer that she doesn't need their business simply because they voiced a legitimate concern was shocking. No customer should be treated that way. A manager's job is to resolve problems professionally, not create more conflict or insult the people who support the business. Customer service was completely unacceptable. Between the manager's rude and confrontational behavior, her refusal to take responsibility or correct her scheduling error, and technicians speaking negatively in another language in front of customers, the atmosphere was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I also had concerns about the salon's cleanliness. Based on what I observed during my visit, there were significant red flags regarding the hygiene of the tools and the overall salon environment, which only added to my discomfort. I genuinely appreciated the professionalism and apology from the original technician, who tried to make the situation right despite it not being her mistake. Unfortunately, the manager's attitude overshadowed everything else. Poor scheduling, an inexperienced technician, a routine appointment lasting over two hours, unprofessional customer service, and concerns about cleanliness make this a salon I will never return to. If you value your time, expect respectful treatment, and want management that stands behind its business instead of arguing with customers, I recommend choosing a different salon.

Nails So Happy is the only nail spa I go to!! Always reliable, clean, and welcoming with fantastic customer service, plenty of menu options, and LOTS of colors to choose from. I don’t get nail art, but I have seen the ladies do incredible designs!!

Every visit, I leave with unique, flawless nails that always get compliments. Krystal truly takes the time to understand what I want and brings it to life perfectly. On top of her amazing skills, she’s a joy to talk to—warm, friendly, and fun, making every appointment fly by. If you’re looking for someone who’s both a true artist and a wonderful person, Krystal is the one! Highly recommend!
