Under the care this doctor, we always had problems getting a prior authorization initiated in a timely fashion, everything took longer than it needed to. I did not feel the turnaround time for response was great, so we ended up leaving the practice. Only to discover, that for two years straight, in 2020/21 my son had abnormal blood results in his kidney function. We were never told and were never given a referral to a kidney specialist. Fast forward to 2026, my son is hospitalized for kidney failure needing a transplant, that could have been prolonged if given the proper care. I would not recommend her or anyone one at Nemours Endo.
In my experience, Dr Mortenson is very kind, calm and genuinely interested in their patients’ well being. She understands what to say, and equally importantly, how to say it to make it relatable to all age groups. Highly recommended!

She's amazing. She very informative. She has helped my daughter and I achieve the goal of stopping early puberty. Which is and can be scary for a lot of mothers that have daughters in elementary experiencing this. She response to every message her and or team. Dr. Mortensen met with us regarding our three year old son. She was relaxed, friendly, and knowledgeable. She took time to talk with us, discuss next steps, and answer questions. She set up orders for us to have our son tested, and she said she would set up a video call to go over the results with us.
