Everything was delicious! Gluten free galore!!! Had the Barbacoa and Steak street tacos. Kid got beef and the hubby had nachos. The arepa was like a corn cake with melty goodness in the middle. We will be back for more!!!
My brother had heard about this place so we decided to check it out for a late lunch, early dinner situation. Before we even walked in, we were reading through the reviews and noticed that the owner has a habit of responding to any criticism with an absolute novel of complaints back at the reviewer. Honestly hilarious. We pulled up around 3:30 on a Friday and were practically the only people there. We ordered everything to-go, which honestly felt like the right call anyway since the inside is pretty tiny. I got the shredded chicken bowl, same as my mom. My dad got a chicken burrito and my brother got a steak burrito. The flavors in my bowl were good but nothing that really stood out. It was heavy on the rice, onions, and black beans, which was a problem for my mom since she's not a black beans person, so she wasn't thrilled with hers. My dad was still a little hungry after his burrito. My brother was the happiest of the group with his steak burrito though, so there's that. Overall we just didn't feel like the portion sizes and quality justified the prices. The staff was friendly, which was appreciated. But it's a middle of the road experience for us. If you go, maybe stick to the steak options based on our little sample size.
We went on a Sunday for lunch (Father’s Day) and it was steadily busy- but fast and efficient. We had a burrito bowl and nachos- both with the beef. This food was so good. Generous portions, fresh, and overall just good. The queso on the nachos was some of the best I have had in a while - definitely something to get if you’re eating there. The burrito came with chips - I would imagine the other things do also and that’s a nice touch. The two employees working at the counter - younger maybe college aged, a taller man and woman working with him - were both so friendly, greeted everyone, and did a great job keeping the flow going. I really recommend this place.
We had steak nachos, bean burrito, shrimp tacos and fish tacos. Everything was delicious and the service was great, very kid friendly when taking the order for an undecided 9 year old. Was the best place we ate at on our weekend in st Augustine.
The young lady and young man working behind the counter were very polite and passionate about their jobs. They made my experience delightful. The kids loved the beef tacos! And a great deal. The shrimp arapa was out of theos world with fresh flavor. The kambucha was a delicious bonus. We will be back. So many vegan and vegetarian options. Very impressed.
