Ms. Selena was an excellent tutor for my 10-year-son. She taught him 4th-8th grade math and prepared him for the SCAT, which is often used for admission to the Center for Talented Youth at Johns Hopkins. After 6 months of tutoring my DS was admitted to CTY receiving a high enough score to qualify for admission on his first attempt. Ms. Selena kept my DS engaged and motivated throughout tutoring. He always had a bounce in his step when he came out of his sessions. She really helped him with long division where he was having difficulty remembering the order in which to do problems with multiple steps. At school, my DS started receiving Exceptional marks on his report card for math after 3 months of tutoring. My husband and I were very pleased with the care and dedication Ms. Selena provided. We will definitely be reaching out to Mindful Learning again for any of our family’s future tutoring needs.
Dr. Annie and Selena have been fantastic tutors for my children. My daughter needed help grasping mathematics and taking some of her advanced social studies and ELA classes. With the 1:1 help, she has excelled in her classes. She is scoring great grades and grasping more advanced concepts. Because of the 1:1 format, she is now scoring higher on her state assessment tests. I highly recommend Mindful Learning for their dedication to seeing my children succeed.
We are incredibly grateful to Dr Annie and Ms Selena for their dedication, patience, and expertise in working with our son. They have a unique ability to explain concepts in a way that truly resonates with him, fostering not just understanding but also confidence in subjects that were once challenging. What stands out most is their genuine care for their students. They take the time to tailor lessons to our son's learning style and always encourages him to ask questions and explore his curiosity. This personalized approach has made a significant difference in his academic performance and overall enthusiasm for learning. We have seen remarkable progress, not just in his grades but also in his self-esteem and willingness to tackle difficult topics. Dr Annie is not just a tutor but a mentor and a positive influence. We wholeheartedly recommend both of them to any family seeking a knowledgeable, supportive, and engaging tutor. 😀
I cannot say enough good things about Mindful Learning. Dr. Annie began working with my son during COVID, helping him bridge the gap from 5th to 6th grade math. She recognized he needed additional support and was gracious to adjust her schedule in order to provide it to him. Dr. Annie continued to work with him in other subjects throughout middle school. Now, my son works with Ms. Selena. She is helping him prepare for the PSATs while also providing additional support with his school work. Her professionalism and kindness are just as wonderful as Dr. Annie's. I would recommend them both over and over again. You will never be disappointed!
My children have been doing online tutoring classes with Mindful Learning for their middle school math classes for a few months now to ensure they don’t fall behind and we have been very pleased with the services. We are always able to find a mutually convenient time for the lessons, I receive a lesson summary and additional practice problems for them to work on afterwards, and my children are always happy to join the tutoring sessions. They are both getting A’s and we plan to use them through the end of the school year. We will also plan to use the service for PSAT tutoring (math and ELA) in the summer. I highly recommend Dr. Annie and her entire Mindful Learning team!
