Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jacksonville Airport

The location is the one clear positive here — conveniently close to the airport with decent grounds and a tidy exterior. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends. Upon arrival for an early check-in, the front desk was completely unmanned for what felt like an unreasonable wait. When staff finally appeared, the cleaning crew continued vacuuming nearby, making it difficult to have a simple conversation. To be fair, once the clerk arrived, they were friendly and accommodating in getting me checked in early — a small but appreciated gesture. The interior of the hotel tells a different story from the outside. The hallways are dark and noticeably dated, with visible damage to both the walls and carpeting. The room itself had a strong, persistent musty odor that even running the air conditioner for several hours couldn't resolve. The TV didn't work, fixtures were damaged, and there were no USB charging options. It simply didn't feel clean or well-maintained. I'll note that I didn't formally raise my complaints with staff, so I can't say whether they would have addressed them — that's fair. But the conditions were bad enough that I chose not to spend the night. Worth mentioning: I booked through Expedia as part of a package and was unable to get any kind of refund despite not staying. If you're considering this hotel, I'd strongly recommend booking direct so you have more flexibility if things don't meet expectations.

5 Stars for me for sure I had an amazing stay at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jacksonville Airport! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcome—like I was part of their family. Everyone was incredibly kind, courteous, and always willing to help. One of my favorite conveniences was the complimentary airport shuttle. It made traveling to and from the airport so easy and saved me money on Uber and Lyft rides. The hotel's location is perfect and close to everything I needed. Breakfast was hot an fresh 6am-9am The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Housekeeping did a wonderful job every day, which I truly appreciated. If I ever needed anything or had a question, I could simply text the front desk, and someone would come right up to my room. Their quick response and excellent customer service really stood out. Even when I ordered food delivery, the staff was friendly and helpful, making the entire experience stress-free. Called to let me it was delivered. You could also text a number for front desk as well. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. Thank you to the entire team for making me feel so cared for during my stay. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jacksonville!

The night receptionist Core was the epitome of excellent customer service. The breakfast bar was more than adequate with a fresh waffle maker, eggs, hash browns, sausage, grits, cereals, pastries and fruit. The only negatives? Only one juice option was operating one the machine and the lack of food options from the vending machines (no sandwiches, soups, microwave meals, etc.). The airport shuttle was run on a timely loop as well!

Rooms need to updated. Very damp smell and feel upon arrival. Room was very clean however. Hotel staff was amazing. But it was more of a motel feel. Nothing fancy, nothing stood out. Just a peaceful room.
