Office staff was extremely professional. Wait time was very reasonable. MA was wonderful, very efficient and focused on the relevant problem for the day. Dr. Robinson is always an excellent listener and most knowledgeable about orthopedic issues. I left the office today knowing I had truly been cared for by a surgeon who has my best interest at heart and cares about my outcome.
If you are looking for an orthopedic doctor, Dr Robinson is the one to go to , he is amazing! I have had a hip replacement done with him and on that occasion I was very nervous it was a big thing to deal with , but along with his friendly team I knew I was in good hands , they addressed all my questions and put me at my ease , never felt rushed or annoying for asking too many questions , and I had a lot lol ! So now this is my second surgery I am so ready to do this and wake up with a new lease on life 🙏 so if your undecided , I'm telling you Dr Robinson is the ONE !
This review is not a direct reflection of the doctor but is a review of SOS.(Southeastern Orthopedic Specialists). I had tried to make an appointment with Dr. Lincoln who has been my doctor for approximately 4-5 years. I talked to SOS on 3/4/2026 to make an appointment for a viscus injection. They gave me a date of 3/6 for the injection. When I arrived at the office for my appointment, I was told that Dr. Lincoln was no longer with SOS, and I would be seeing a PA of Dr. Robinson. Since I was already there, and I needed the injection because of discomfort I was feeling in my left knee, I agreed to see the PA for the injection. To my surprise, I had to go through a battery of X-rays, and also some tests for "range of motion" for my knee. After he was done, he told me I was done and that SOS would be contacting me about my future injection. So I left the office after paying my copay and went home waiting for the phone call from SOS for my injection. Four days later on the 3/10, I called because of discomfort in my knee and was told that they were waiting on my insurance for approval. On 3/13 I called United Healthcare about the approval for my injection. I was told that they had received the information from SOS that day, "seven days after my appointment with the PA!" The woman from UNC told me that my injection had been approved on the same day and I should be getting a call soon. I immediately called SOS on the 3/13 to get my appointment scheduled. I told the woman I was in discomfort and she told me that she would let the appropriate parties know and that it was "urgent," and someone would be contacting me soon. Now it is 3/16 and again I had called SOS in the morning, asking for an appointment, reminding the gentleman that it was urgent. He told me he would connect me with the appropriate parties. Well, nobody answered and I left a detailed voicemail of my issues. It is now 1:00 pm on the 3/16 and I have still not received a phone call or appointment. If I ever do get my injection, I will find another provider because SOS doesn't care about its patients and are incompetent. Dr. Robinson may be a great doctor, but nobody should have to wait 12+days to receive treatment for something as simple as a viscus injection. As of this writing I am still waiting on a return call.
“Dr. Robinson provided clear, thorough explanations of my diagnosis and treatment plan. He was attentive, reassuring, and made sure I felt confident every step of the way—from consultation to surgery. I’m very grateful for the excellent care I received.”
He left me in the exam room for over 45 minutes. There were no other patients in the rooms around me and when I came out of the room the woman at the desk were shocked to see me. They forgot about me in that room. When the dr finally did come in, he spent less than 5 minutes with me, suggesting PT and that was it. He only took an xray knowing that an mri is required to fully understand the problem with my knees. He would only discuss one of my knees despite my appointment being made for both and both are injured. This doctor wasted my time and energy. If I could have my insurance company deny his billing I would because this is fraud. He is a fraud!
