Not only is this church beautiful inside and out, the docents were so nice and informative. They were members of the church of course. Pick up the info pamphlets- be nice and give a donation to cover the printing cost. This is Floridas first Presbyterian church built by Henry M. Flagler in honor of his daughter. A beautiful example of Venetian Renaissance style architecture. There is a lot to see so give yourself some time to explore. From the 13 stained glass windows, to the pipe organ, the history and Flagler rooms , and don’t forget to look up at the gorgeous ceiling.
A fathers love for his daughter certainly shows at this beautiful place of worship. The grounds and interior are immaculate and the volunteers are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. LOTS of history within the walls and well worth a look.
My home church! I would recommend this church for those visiting st Augustine. Very welcoming and inviting to new guests. Beautiful architecture and tours to explore and learn about its history. Families highly welcomed, including Sunday school and nursery availability.
I absolutely love touring the Memorial Presbyterian Church whenever I get the chance. I have worked as a professional tour guide in St. Augustine for the past 37 years and often have the opportunity to take my groups into the church for a brief visit. The rich history of the building tells such a great part of St. Augustine's past and the beauty of the sanctuary is breathtaking.
Such a beautiful church. The staff is so friendly and informative with the history of this church. It’s a must see place when you’re in Saint Augustine!
