I have been a patient with Dr Barros for about 2 months. I moved to St Augustine living on Anastasia Island 13 months ago. I have had 2 other primary care Dr's and wasn't satisfied at all. Rude office ladies, PA who were unempathetic about everything and considered you just another number to see. Not here. Dr Barros team is amazing. I am sick today and had to ride my bike 2 miles to his office on Friday hoping they would help me. I am 59 with severe asthma and I have been coughing up yellow stuff. The ladies greeted me with a smile as always and made contact with the dr who had called me in an inhaler and medicine. I couldn't be more pleased. At my age it is so reassuring and takes pressure off knowing my health is in the hands of people who care as if you were family. I cant recommend this practice enough..10 stars plus
Dr. Barros really listens and Zyra (might not be spelling her name correctly) and Amber are phenomenal at addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Truly top notch care and customer service. Night and day from previous offices I have visited. Thank you to the entire team at this office! They genuinely go above and beyond.
Dr. Barros is an excellent physician who knows what his patients need. He listens to them and is extremely knowledgeable about medical issues. He is extremely thorough. I have had many physicians in my military and civilian history and Dr. Barros is one of the best doctors I have ever had including Massachusetts General Hospital. The wait time is absolutely amazing within minutes I was in his office. His staff are also very kind, professional and knowledgeable.
Dr Barros is a great Dr but has poor people skills. I often feel like he's not listening to me. Interrupts me when I'm trying to speak to him. Otherwise he's fantastic! Office staff is great 👍
Genuinely surprised to see how high the rating is. Dr. Barros seems like a nice enough guy but nice in the grandpa way, not the I want this guy to be my doctor way. Saw him three times for the same issues and each time he just recommended the same advice each time. Which is fair, but it seems like he did this because he genuinely forgot what he told me last time. I don’t want to be rude but I now see why when I was looking for a GP he was the only one who had no wait time for new patients. Just one specific example is he told me to eat food with probiotics like yogurt and I told him I can’t eat yogurt because it has dairy to which he replied no it doesn’t. You’d probably be better off googling and self medicating than seeing this guy.
