We enjoyed a wonderful meal and great service today for lunch. The catch of the day was swordfish, and it was prepared perfectly. My wife ordered a burger, and it was very tasty. They have a nice draft and cocktail menu to chose from. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and portions.
Visiting St Augustine from Orlando. Picked the closest oyster restaurant to us. It was a great choice! It was little crowded since we arrived at lunch time, but we managed to get a table at the backyard, I love their oyster and buffalo shrimp!!! And the price is very reasonable too.
We were really pleased with this dinner choice. We had roughly a 15m wait, which we burned through quickly just hanging out watching all the golf cart tours zipping around. Once we went inside to be seated everyone was super friendly and engaged. I know thats the expectation in a tourist town, but this one didn't feel like a tourist stop. It felt like a really good mean in a really good restaurant. All the food was delicious. Next time we will be getting the meatloaf over the bangers and mash. Don't get me wrong, the bangers.... Banged .. but we liked the meatloaf more. I cannot believe how busy this place was and get how seamless our drinks were filled and food was taken care of. I wish I wrote down our waitresses name as she was literally phenomenal. But the busers and the runners were all top tier too. Parking was.... Like everything else when you enter this area. We found a paid lot and just parked to spend the rest of our time there at.
Hard to get 5 stars from me, but Meehan's aced it for me! The Cuban was crazy good. The back area was spot on for atmosphere and location. They have front deck that lookas out to the river as well. Inside was authentic pub vibe. Waiter was friendly and helpful. I'll come back at the drop of a hat.
Shay at the upstairs bar was spot on. Great service and good conversation. The downstairs and upstairs provide a local feel, good views, and live music downstairs. Spots at the bars are limited so get their before or after the rush. I had the app special, bacon wrapped shrimp. I wasn't too excited about him as they were pre-made and cooked in the fryer. I expected something a little more made from scratch for a restaurant on the main drive. I didnt like they were skewered. The shrimp were hard to get off the stick. The turkey meatloaf was ok, not dry, the potatoes and veg were good. But turkey meatloaf??? Really??? Did you mom make turkey meatloaf, no! I dont expect an irish brand to have a home dish with turkey. Real men want a true meatloaf.
