A beautiful and protected place for nature observation, and a grand wetland habitat, and I noticed many waterfowl and wading birds there. A great place to hike as well. The only disadvantage is there is very little shade, which may be a bit uncomfortable in hot, sunny weather. There are many larger trees near the back of the property to attract songbirds.
This is an amazing area if you are a birder. Waders, raptors, winter ducks. Not to mention the area is beautiful as well. An amazingly rural area when you consider how close you are to St. Augustine.
A wonderful place to bird watch. We saw or heard 31 birds in 2 hours!
Was hoping to get some good bird amd wildlife photos this morning but trail is very overgrown and gate was chained shut. Did get photos of a large flock of cattle egrets and easy to find parking, but my friend that brought me here says she's never seen it this overgrown. Hopefully, I can give a different review next time I visit.
Nice place to hike with wildlife - we saw otters, deer, spoonbills, heron and even alligators ! A bit noisy from traffic, unfortunately.
