Marie was a great realtor to work with. She always made it a priority to attend meetings with our builder, and was a great resource when we had questions about various items of paperwork. Marie is trustworthy and has her clients’ best interests at heart.
At the recommendation of close friends of my parents we hired Marie Vinson of Berkshire Hathaway Florida North Realty as our Real Estate Agent. It was the best decision that we could have made! We had a complex and time-bound situation in that we were moving my elderly parents from Orange Park, Florida back to New York to an assisted living facility to be closer to family. Within 6 weeks, we had to pack up what we were taking to New York, clear out, sell, or donate what was no longer needed, and clean and prepare my parents’ home to be listed. While there was a lot of logistics to manage there was also an emotional side as my parents were leaving their home and moving to a new stage in their life. Marie not only helped us with all the logistics, but she also supported the family emotionally. Knowing that we could not remain in Florida until the house was sold, Marie offered us an option where for a small increase in commission she would arrange, coordinate and be on site as needed for the contractors we would hire to prepare the house for sale. We were able to return to New York with my parents, knowing that Marie was taking care of things locally in Florida. This arrangement made it so much easier and less stressful for us as we were able to focus on getting my parents settled back in New York. Marie kept in constant contact with us on progress, which instilled so much trust and gave us peace of mind. We took Marie’s recommendations on some home improvement investments that would better prepare the home for attracting buyers. She arranged for people to clean out the remainder of the house, replace worn out carpeting with wood floors, repair and paint walls as needed, replace a few dated ceiling light fixtures, do a deep clean top to bottom, and then stage the house with furniture and decorations to make it look like a model home. The home was transformed into an amazing show piece! This work made such an impactful difference and allowed us to list the house at the end high end of the range for houses in the area. The photos taken by Marie for the listing were so appealing that over 20 people showed up at the first open house. We had a signed contract a week after listing and closed a month later. She did an excellent job of coordinating all the paperwork with all involved parties from contract to closing and walked us through every step of Florida’s remote closing process. My husband and I highly recommend Marie to anyone thinking about selling in this area of Florida! Her recommendations and plan for preparing, listing and selling the home were above and beyond our expectations and relieved us of the stress and extra work in closing down my parents’ home. She became more than just our realtor. She became a friend who put the best interests of my parents at the forefront. It takes a unique and empathetic person to hold space for the business side of selling a home as well as the emotional. We will forever be grateful to Marie for that!
I had the honor to work with Marie in a purchase transaction where she was only representing the buyer, the seller didn't have an agent, even thought there were tasks that didn't belong to Marie she was more than happy to assist on any way she can to make the deal work. She is dedicated to her buyer and the way she served this veteran i wish every client was served the same way. I will most definitely refer her to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. Marie, was the most professional and helpful in selling my home. This was my family home and I had a lot of ties to it. She made the process so easy and was very loving and helpful. I would highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone you can trust and depend on this is your girl.
