Mandarin Presbyterian Church

I love my Church. Having moved to Florida from Oklahoma, I was searching for a church home. My church in Oklahoma was a great church so I had very high expectations. After visiting a number of churches near my home, I found my place at Mandarin Presbyterian. It was welcoming and Biblically based, which gave me confidence in the leadership. They have many opportunities to serve the church, the community and around the world. The kids and youth programs are excellent. And there are all-church Bible studies as well as small group studies for women and men. Prayer is a major focus, with a church wide prayer ministry. I am grateful to have found such a wonderful place for fellowship, instruction and service.

MPC is for me, as my home church.we have a dynamic pastor Dr. Andrew Stepp who gives awesome sermons each Sunday and in January our church is doing something called, " Cover to "Cover, where we will be doing a cover to cover of the Bible in 100 days. I did it two years ago with my church and learned how all the Bible stories I was told as a kid all fit into God's plan of how to get us back, and a love for Jesus and why he came to save us all. We have lots of programs for all ages. I like "JOY" ,which stands "for just older youth" and once a month we oldsters meet at church for lunch and a program. We sponser a PreK church school, and help with a food bank on Tuesdays every week. I just could go on and on about my church, but you need to stop by any Sunday to check us out. SDSmith

Visited today for the first time..won't be our last. Both my wife and I were pleased with the service. We both are longtime singers/choir members, and we really enjoyed the music and choir special. Late edit. Sorry, folks, but I have to edit my review. Visited Mandarin Presbyterian for two more services (Christmas Eve and a Sunday) before deciding to return to our former church Downtown. Unfortunately, we found the atmosphere rather cold. When we introduced ourselves to the Senior Pastor following the Sunday service, he sort of looked straight through us. Also, he didn't really even respond to our introduction and compliments on the service. So, as I said, we've returned Downtown(we also have moved back to Springfield), and couldn't be happier. I guess we just weren't Mandarin material, even after living there for three years. God bless. Be well.

Mandarin Presbyterian Church is one of the more active, grace-filled, and influential churches in the area. You will find they take seriously the kingdom of God and call to "love people to love Jesus". Members of the church support and are actively involved in missions and organizations all over town, especially those that work with children, youth, and people in need. The ministries of the church are shaped for the whole family and all generations. It is a great place to raise kids, to make friends, to grow in the faith, and to be encouraged to live it our. The church partners with many churches and ministries across the city. If you desire to "Love the City" this is a good place to be.
