I bought a wedding ring for my wife from Mandarin Jewelry. Shortly after purchase, diamonds started falling out of the ring. I brought it in for repair and was told it would be ready in two days. That turned into weeks of delays and excuses. When I said I wanted to pick up the ring unrepaired and leave an honest negative review, the situation escalated quickly. I was harassed with repeated phone calls (9+ in one day) and told they would not return my ring unless I promised in writing not to leave a negative review. On the day I went to retrieve it, the owner called multiple times saying the ring would be ready, then changed his story and said he would not release it because he believed I would leave a bad review. During these calls, both my wife and I felt threatened by the tone and statements being made. Because of that, I had to contact the police and have an officer present just to retrieve my own property. After all of that, the “repair” was unacceptable. They installed the wrong size stones, and the diamonds and rubies they added appear to be fake. To make matters worse, one of the stones fell out the very first day after the repair. This experience involved intimidation, refusal to release my property, and extremely poor workmanship. What should have been a meaningful purchase turned into stress and fear. I strongly advise others to think twice before doing business here.
