Mallory Whitley, MD

Dr. Mallory Whitley is truly one of the best primary care physicians I have ever had. She has an amazing bedside manner and always makes me feel comfortable and cared for during every visit. I genuinely look forward to seeing her because she takes the time to listen, understand my concerns, and create a treatment plan that is specific to my needs. What I appreciate most is that she never dismisses my concerns. She is thorough, compassionate, and knowledgeable, offering both medicinal and natural recommendations to help achieve the best possible outcome for my health. Dr. Whitley makes me feel heard, valued, and supported as a patient, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who truly cares.

Horrible visit. I left in tears. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Whitley after being told through the patient portal that I needed to come in to discuss GLP-1 medications. It took a great deal of courage to ask because I was embarrassed to admit I needed help. I wasn’t looking for someone to simply write a prescription—I was looking for guidance from my primary care physician, who knows my medical history, lab work, and overall health. Instead, I felt rushed, dismissed, and judged. The most shocking part of the visit was when Dr. Whitley compared asking whether a GLP-1 was right for me to asking a hairdresser whether I should cut my hair. She told me I needed to go home, research my options, and come back with a decision. In my opinion, deciding whether to start a medication that I may inject into my body is far more significant than choosing a haircut. Every article and medical resource I read said to ask your doctor if a GLP-1 is right for you. That is exactly what I was trying to do. I left feeling embarrassed, unsupported, and without the guidance I scheduled the appointment to receive. Patients deserve compassion, education, and individualized care when making important medical decisions. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I will be finding a new primary care physician.

Dr. Whitley has the best bedside manner in Duval County. For some reason, she was able to diagnose my husband's condition at the first visit when other doctors kept giving him the runaround and guessing. I think she is pleasant and takes her time to listen to her patients. Based on my few times talking with her, I think she's intelligent and she keeps up-to-date with what's going on in the medical field. I appreciate her for helping my family in such a major way.

Dr. Whitley has been such a blessing to my family. She leads with compassion and truly cares about her patients. We never feel rushed and she proactively provides information that I may not have thought to ask about. Her amazing professionalism but with the ability to be relatable is such a gift. Her expertise in health matters is certainly as asset to the Jacksonville community.
