I hired Aaron Makofka in 2024 to represent me in my family law case involving my son. The case had been ongoing since 2017. He was professional, knowledgeable, and supportive from the initial call. My child’s father represented himself and filed a lot of incorrect paperwork, which made the process more complicated. Aaron handled it all with patience and expertise. I think what I appreciated most was how he stood up for me, and at times, for himself. He ain’t no punk. AND, he was always easy to reach when I had questions or needed reassurance. Beyond being a great attorney, Aaron is just a genuinely good person who cares about his clients. He made a highly stressful situation so much easier to navigate. I truly hope I never need a family law attorney again, but if I do, Aaron will be my first call. I HIGHLY recommend him!

I regret hiring this attorney for my divorce trial. The representation I received was far below my expectations and resulted in significant financial consequences. Despite repeatedly bringing important issues and strategies to his attention, he refused to incorporate them into the trial presentation. I believe those decisions contributed to me losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in the final judgment. He was ineffective in countering arguments from the opposing party and seemed to lack the financial knowledge necessary to handle a complex divorce involving significant assets. In my opinion, a divorce attorney handling equitable distribution should have a solid understanding of financial statements, asset valuation, and related financial issues. To make matters worse, several mistakes were made throughout the case, yet there was no accountability or acknowledgment of those errors. Instead, I continued receiving invoices for additional fees. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this attorney.
