As a Lighting Designer in the film industry, I collaborate closely with makeup artists on every production. Makeup plays a critical role in how skin tones, textures, and features respond to lighting, from harsh key lights and practical sources to color-corrected environments and long shooting days. Getting it right is essential for both the actors’ performance and the final image. I have nothing but the highest praise for Paulina. She is an exceptional makeup artist whose technical skill, attention to detail, and understanding of on-camera lighting are outstanding. She consistently delivers beautiful, natural-looking results that hold up flawlessly under professional film lighting conditions. I am so happy that I chose Makeup by Paulina for my bridal hair and makeup! I was able to do a trial with the same hair stylist and makeup artist that would do my hair and makeup on my wedding day which I really appreciated. Chudni did my hair and she did an amazing job!! I have really thick hair and chose a low bun style with a side braid. She did a fantastic job styling it in a way that looked elegant and stayed put all day, even in windy conditions for outdoor pictures! Chelsea did my makeup and she also did an amazing job! I didn’t really come in with a specific makeup style so she did a great job helping me pick a style that complimented my skin tone and eye color while keeping a natural look. I felt so beautiful and confident on my wedding day thanks to them! We also had other stylists from Makeup by Paulina there to do hair and makeup for my bridesmaids along with my mom and groom’s mom and all of them were so happy with their final looks. Makeup by Paulina is a great team and I would recommend them to any bride!

I cannot recommend Paulina and her team enough! From start to finish, they were professional, talented, and a joy to work with. Paulina’s studio is in a great location, and the vibes during my trials were so fun and relaxed. After my first hair and makeup trial, I wasn’t 100% satisfied—not because of her work, but simply because I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted. When I decided to do a second trial, Paulina had no hesitation, listened carefully to my feedback, and made the adjustments I was hoping for. She absolutely nailed it, and by the time my wedding day arrived, I felt completely confident in her work. Natalie did my hair, and she was amazing! She was so patient and accommodating, even as I changed my mind a few times leading up to the wedding (hey, that’s what trials are for!). The final result was beautiful. Not only was my experience great, but my bridesmaids, mom, and mother-in-law all loved their hair and makeup too. The entire team created such a fun, relaxed atmosphere while making sure everyone looked and felt their best.
