I purchased a tire cosmetic and wheel repair plan for $2,288 with the expectation that it would provide meaningful protection when I needed it. Unfortunately, when I filed a claim for two damaged tires, the company refused to honor the coverage. Reaching customer service has also been extremely difficult: I have waited on the phone for more than an hour, only to be given excuses instead of a clear resolution. I believe this is unfair and unacceptable.
This insurance company is such a bogus! I rented a storage unit at Cubesmart in Frisco, TX for 2+ years and of course, there was an ice storm hit North Texas late Jan 2026. My unit along with some units unfortunately were impacted from the ice storm because it flooded into the building where units included mine were. The store manager immediately contacted me along with some customers who were affected and of course I filed a claim with Fortegra since it was part of Cubesmart insurance plan. I immediately filed with them shortly after my friends went through my stuff, took a lot of photos, clips, etc at the storage unit. It took a while for Erika Bolton to get back to me via email and phone call. I reached out a few times to see what was going on. Finally, earlier tonight, she sent me an email with a small, lame, and weak explanation of why she declined my claim! Imagine how upset I was when I received the email. Do they not care about our personal items including photos, value items, books, etc? So all this time, I paid for the insurance plan along with the rate for the storage unit for this negative result? I deserve a check for damaged items that happened at my storage unit due to the ice storm and it was out of my control too. In fact, I deserve refund for the insurance rate I paid for the past 2 years if they're going to handle like this. UNACCEPTABLE. They deserve a zero star!
I am filing this review to warn other consumers about my experience with Lyndon Southern Insurance Company/Classic Administration Systems. My vehicle requires replacement of a GM Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator (Part #55509669). This is a standard mechanical part that is not listed as an emissions component under the EPA’s official emissions‑related parts list (40 CFR Part 1068, Appendix A). Despite this, the warranty company denied my claim by incorrectly labeling the part as “emissions‑related” and “basically the PCV valve.” My dealership confirmed they were simply repeating what the warranty company told them and were not citing any EPA regulation or contract exclusion. The company has not provided any written denial with a valid EPA citation, nor have they shown where this part is excluded under my Vehicle Service Agreement. Because of this misclassification, my repair cannot be completed under my coverage, and I am being told I would be responsible for $2,736.44 out of pocket for a repair that should be covered. I have filed a formal complaint with the Florida Department of Financial Services and am awaiting their review. Consumers should be aware of this company’s handling of claims and the potential for improper denials based on unsupported classifications.
The only reason I gave 1 star is because I couldnt give 0 stars. Don't Bother buying a warranty from this company. You are better off going through Car Shield. Bought a used F250 which Fortegra warrantied but when my U-Joints failed, Fortegra maintains it was due to rust which is NOT covered! A used vehicle in the State of Indiana with rust, go figure. Basically without saying it I'm being told I should have kept my truck in a garage and or lived in Nevada. I wasted 4k on a warranty that has NOT covered any of the issues that I have had. If you do get the warranty, I would let a lawyer and a mechanic read it first before you sign those papers. Terrible service, been calling the company for 3 days and no one seems to want to speak to me. Dealership said it took them 2 days to get back with them. I was also told I am not allow to appeal the decision. This company is not user friendly. USE ANOTHER WARRANTY COMPANY BECAUSE FORTEGRA has no integrity! If you think I am making this up, go look at their reviews and you will see words like fingerpointing, claims taking too long, denials for warranties for parts that are supposed to be covered! If the dealership can't offer you a different company? I'd go to another dealership? Fortegra has put me in a financial bind as I have to pay $1600 for parts and labor that should have been covered with the $4k warranty.I am vehicleless in the state of Indiana in Jan when it is -8 and will most likely lose my job. Update: Struggling to find rust that would cause failure. Certified mechanics report from Ford, states part seized due to faulty part, but doesn't say anything about rust. I am curious who is the master mechanic that works for Fortegra that can view a picture from a desktop and override a master mechanics determination that actually has the part in their hands. I believe his name was Travis he said. Thank you Fortegra for showing me what company NOT to do business with ever again..
My son had a homeowners policy for 2 years. When his house burnt down, they sent 1 year worth of premium back and canceled his $164,000 policy. Nothing but thiefs! I don't know how they sleep at night.
